Normal service is resumed (Hopefully!)

Well, I've finally finished my reports and handed them in, so I've had a night of chilling out! I came home and did a bit of creating in the kitchen (made fish cakes with prawns, chilli flakes, lime zest and spring onions) and then made a card whilst watching Springwatch...can you tell?!
This gorgeous stag was one of the Lavinia stamps that flew into my hand at Doncaster on Saturday, along with about 7 others that I am sure you will see in due course! The ferns and leaves are all Lavinia too.
It was great to look around, but the two most inspirational stands for me were Lavinia and Inkylicious. There were some stunningly beautiful cards on display and I came home with plenty of goodies from both. I am now like a child in a candy shop, not knowing what to try next! Whilst we were there Lynne and I bumped into Lesley (aka Craftymamma) and Judith (Poppy Cottage). It was lovely to see you both.
Whilst I'm here I'd like to say a big thank you to all of  you who visit and comment, even when I'm a less frequent visitor. I really appreciate it. Hopefully I will get to visit you all over the next few days. Thanks for looking!

  3. This is stunning Sally - love the scene you've created - it's very atmospheric. I love Lavinia stamps - funnily enough Inkylicious and Lavinia were my favourites at the Harrogate show earlier this year. Sounds like you made some fab. purchases!
Hope you can relax a little now that some of your school work is finished.
    Hugs, Sylvia xx

  5. This is a really beautiful card Sally. I love the colours you have used to build the background around the magestic stag image.

It was lovely to quite literally 'bump' into you and Lynn on Sunday. I still keep having a chuckle over my choice of that word and then to back into you, turn to apologise and realise who it was, lol! I'm glad you managed to find Judith too.

I'm in pretty much the same boat as you, not knowing which of the fab stamps I bought to play with first.

Glad you got your reports finished and can now relax for a while.

    Hugs

  8. Hi Sally. The Lavinia stamps are just so irresistable aren't they, I never know which ones to choose. Your stag is very stately in his woodland setting. The atmosphere you've created is just lovely.
I love Inkylicious too. I'm saving up ready for a spend at Harrogate in Septemeber!!
Thanks for your lovely comments. Funnily enough we had bread and butter pudding at the weekend so not good for the waistline to have it twice in a week. Lasagne tonight though!!
    Your fishcakes sound delicious.
Happy crafting now those reports are done.
    hugs Lisax

  9. Fabulous card, you've created the perfect backdrop for that magnificent stag.
Must admit Inkylicious and Lavinia are two of my "must visit" stalls when I go to any shows - their samples are just wonderful.
Your fishcakes sound delicious too - but can you tell me where you get chilli flakes from - when I popped to Sainsburys the other day from work a colleague asked me to get some if they had got any (which they hadn't) and ever since then I've kept my eyes open while near spice counters but not come across them yet.
    Take care
