Holiday Wildlife

Thought I would share a few pics of some of the wildlife we saw whilst in Wales. The first three photos are from our trip to Ramsey Island.

 a seal, red deer,
and choughs.
Next a Heron and a Curlew.

And finally some insect life taken on a footpath near lake Vyrnwy. A Ringlet and a grasshopper.
This little fella was named Jim by Megan, and he enjoyed a bit of sunshine whilst sitting on her jeans!
After a while we persuaded him onto my finger before he was encouraged back into the undergrowth!
Thanks for looking!

  1. Wonderful - I'm glad Jim decided the undergrowth was worth returning to. Quite a friendly chap wasn't he? The Ringlet looks a beauty with those markings.

  2. Fantastic photos. I admire your photography skills! Since it's doubtful I'll ever get to enjoy that part of the world, I really loved seeing these wonderful pictures of what you saw on your trip. It's marvelous that you know the names of all these creatures too! Thanks so much for sharing them with those of us who won't see this loveliness in our world. Hugs

  3. Wow, some fantastic photographs there! You've managed so e great close ups. Always wanted to see a cough, the national bird of Cornwall and it was extinct from there whilst we lived there unfortunately. Looks like you had a great holiday. Maddy x

  5. I always enjoy watching wildlife, wherever I am, and so do you, it looks like. The seal is gorgeous, a bit sassy it seems. Of course I love the heron.
