Things with wings and a touch of vintage at Stamping Sensations

Good Morning! It is time for a new challenge at Stamping Sensations, and this month we have Things with wings and a touch of vintage for our theme. I made two cards this month (Can't you tell I am off work?!) For my first I chose Birds as my things with wings and went for the vintage bird stamp from Inkylicious.
I coloured the image with Distress Markers and stamped the backing card with delicate vines (Inkylicious) and Distress inks.
My next card is also made with inkylicious stamps and distress markers, this time using them to colour the stamp.
The stem and leaves are from the Hydragea set and the sunflowers are from the Sunflower Sunshine set. This one was dusted and stamped on linen look card, using Wild Honey, Broken China and Faded jeans distress ink.the bumble bees(Inkylicious) are stamped onto acetate with Stazon and then coloured on the other side with promarkers.

We are sponsored this month by Crafty Devils, who are offering a £35 voucher for the fabulous prize. they sell such a wide range of crafting products it would be very easy to spend that and more!

  7. These are both beautiful cards Sally but I too especially love the sunflower one. The 3D effect is lovely and the Distress Markers have worked perfectly direct onto the stamp. Have a soft spot for the beautiful bumble bees too!

Beautiful colouring of the bird image on the first card.

Hope you're enjoying your hard earned break!

  8. Both of these are delightful - it's hard to choose a favourite. I particularly like the way you've matched the sentiment with the flowers on the second one & how you've manipulated the stamps so as to create another floral image.

  11. Both cards are so beautiful, Sally, but I guess you know that I favor the birds - of course! Do you like to work with the distress markers? I am not sure whether I should invest in them or not. Not at the moment anyway...
