Happy Rudolf day! I managed to make two cards this month! Both cards used stamps from Inkylicious. The first using a white tag and card, inked with Memento Paris Dusk. I covered the base card in panels embossed with a Sheena embossing folder.
My second card used the faux vellum technique, dusting white ink onto craft card. The edging thistle is a hobby art stamp from the Highland cattle set and I added a tartan ribbon to continue the Scottish theme.
Do pop over to Scrappy Mo's blog and take a look at the wonderful Christmas cards there! Thanks for looking and for all your wonderful comments. Hopefully I will manage some time in blogland this weekend. I am giving myself some me time :-D
Two super cards Sally, you gave really got that white on Kraft technique, I've failed dismally to do it.

Love the faux vellum technique Sally! I'm sure I've seen you do it before but can't remember seeing how. Looks really good! Love the little scenes on both your cards. Once again I am letting the year race ahead and haven't attempted a Christmas card yet, lol!

I knew as I was surfing over here, I'd be seeing some wonderful sponging here. And delighted to see these 2 beauties. The tag scene is just splendid & serene, and looks so pretty against the embossing. Intrigued with #2 (will be looking up the faux vellum, can't remember if I've heard that technique before - may have done, and forgotten!). It certainly created such a marvelous scene with the snow, the sunset and that handsome stag in the snow dunes. Love the way you've encircled this oval and the navy & kraft look so well as the color combination. Just beautiful - each of these. TFS & Hugs

Absolutely beautiful inking Sally and I love the tartan bow with the kraft - so stylish.
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Sally, such lovely little snowy scenes. I like the faux parchment one best, a beautiful technique and the tartan bow is the perfect embellishment.
