Here are my DT cards for Dora this month. Our theme was spring flowers and the magnolia and snowdrops are some of the first spring flowers in the garden. My card was made with digis drawn by Dora, which you can find on her blog here.
I coloured both with alcohol markers and used papers from the Dovecraft Bohemian pad. Tag sentiments are from Craftwork Cards.
We had a lovely Burn's Night supper last night and did our bit for citizen science with the Big Garden Birdwatch yesterday morning. We got 13 species in an hour, but no starlings or sparrows at all! There is still one more day to join in if you can. We learn so much about our garden birds when we do. It is the first time Steve and I have done it together, now he has retired and is home on Saturdays.
I have finished Steve's Birthday card and made 2 baby cards for colleagues at work today which I will share with you in due course.
Thanks for looking and I hope you have had a wonderful weekend.

Rudolf day for January
Hi there! It is already approaching the end of January and so it is time for another Rudolf day over at Scrappy Mo's. For my Cards for 2018 I am kicking off with a wintry woodland scene using stamps from Inkylicious and my faithful ink dusters. I added red berries with garnet liquid pearls and added some snowflakes with fluffy puffy stuff and clear spectrum noir sparkle pen. I added a little to the snow drifts and the deer footprints too.
I hope you have managed to stay warm in the recent cold snap and the snow or thaw hasn't troubled you too much.
We are looking forward to the weekend as we will be hosting a belated Burns night supper with some old friends and also taking part in the Big Garden Bird Watch.
Happy Crafting and thanks for looking!

No patterned papers
The theme at Allsorts this week is no patterned papers and I made this card last weekend using just stamping so I thought it fit the bill well. The stamps are all from inkylicious and I used the kaleidacolor blue breeze inkpad.
Sorry it is short and sweet! Hope you are having a good week!

Feathered Visitors
We have had rather a lot of different visitors to the bird feeders recently, and both Meg and I managed to get some photos, so I thought I would share them with you.
first up is our male Blackbird, who is already staking his claim to his territory and chasing off the competition. The next photos aren't the best as they are taken through the slightly grubby window on full zoom to the bottom of the garden, but first we have a chaffinch
and also goldfinches (top) and greenfinches (bottom). Just in case you were wondering, the glass lampshade prevents the squirrel from reaching the holes on the birdfeeder!
Then the male Blackcap appeared and has been around for over a fortnight now
Here is a better photo of the goldfinch.
The great tit loves the berry flavoured fat candle from B&M!
The starling is looking very smart at the moment too.
Bobbin the Robin is always around the garden
And finally, meet our resident goldcrest, Britain's smallest bird. Don't you just love his yellow mohican?
I am just hoping they all show up for the RSPB's big garden Birdwatch in a couple of weeks time. If you want to join in with the biggest citizen science project of the year, you can find out more here . All you do is commit to watching for an hour and then you can log your sightings online or by post.
Thanks for looking and for your lovely comments

Something New
Here is a card I made with my new spectrum Noir sparkle pens and two new stamps from Bee Crafty. I am loving that sparkle! I might have moaned about breaking up from school so late, but it has been wonderful to have some crafting time after all the festivities have ended. It is back to work tomorrow so I am cramming in an extra post today.
I think this has to be one of my favourite quotes of all time and I intend to try and follow that advice this year!
As the challenges at Allsorts this week and Penny Black and More this month are to show new things, I am entering this card into both challenges.
I hope your New Year has got off to a good start and thanks for looking and for your lovely comments x

We have a great prize consisting of a collection of Sizzix products.................
