More hot colours

Hi There! I have made a journal page using hot colours for todays inspiration for the Bee Crafty Challenge. Here is how it came about.
I began by stamping the leaves from Journaling Essentials #2 in Carrot Orange and Cheerful Versafine Clair ink onto a scrap of card. I cut them out leaving a small white border.

On another piece of card, I stamped three of the large flowers from Journaling essentials #9 in black Versafine Clair ink and coloured them using Ecoline brush pens in various shades of yellow, orange, red and pink. I cut them out.
Using Gellyroll Moonlight Pens, I added faux stitching and dots to the flowers.
I trimmed off the white border from a piece of A5 catalyst Collage paper and stuck it into my A5 journal. I used a couple of the smaller worker stamps from Journaling Essentials #9 to add tiny circles in Carrot orrange ink and small crosses in Charming pink ink to the background.
I arranged the flowers and leaves on the page and fixed them in place using Matte medium.
Finally I added a wordy sticker sentiment, faux stitched border and some white pen hearts to finish it off.

I used:
Catalyst Collage papers - I used Daisy Sunshine A5
Wordy Stickers - I used 1B
Versafine Clair ink - I used Carrot Orange, Cheerful, Charming Pink and Nocturne
Ecoline brush pens/ watercolour markers
White Posca pen
Matte Medium

There are still another 12 days to enter the hot colours challenge in the Bee Crafty Stamps group. I do hope you can join in!

I will be live at 8pm tonight on the Bee Crafty Facebook page too. Come and join us!

Seahorse Blues

Hi There! I am still playing with the beautiful Doodle Art Seahorse. Here is a card I made in shades of blue.

I began by lightly blending a 4.5" square of card with Blueprint sketch and Mermaid lagoon Distress inks.
I used mandala #1inkable and blended ,ore of the same ink over it
on a seperate piece of card I blended the same inks much more heavily and dried it off.
I stamped the seahorse in embossing ink onto this panel and heat embossed in white, before cutting it out.
I matted and layered the 4.5inch square to the front of a 5" square card and added the seahorse using 3d foam pads. I also stamped some bubbles near the seahorse's head.
I used the Versafine clair ink to also stamp some little fishes randomly around the page.
Here is the finished card with room for a sentiment if needed later

I used
Distress inks - I used Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon
Embossing ink
White Embossing powder
Versafine clair ink - I used Bali Blue
5x5" card blank
4.5" square super smooth card panel

Hot, Hot, Hot!

Hi There! Our Challenge theme over on the Bee Crafty Facebook group this moth is to use hot colours. Here's a little bit of inspiration to get you started.

I began by blending distress oxide inks in Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon and Abandoned Coral across a double page in my 5x5" journal.
Next I blended some Lumberjack Plaid Distress oxide ink though a Dinkable from set 8.
I gave the pages a little spritz with Spiced Marmalade distress spritz to add a little sparkle.
Once this was dry I used the dots dinkable from set 2 to apply some white gesso.
I used aged Mahogany Distress oxide inks to stamp some of the journaling essentials #9 around the page.
on a separate piece of watercolour card I stamped two of the Doodle Art Fishes in Black versafine clair and coloured them using distress inks in picked Raspberry and Ripe Persimmon before cutting them out.
I added them to the page using matte medium and also stamped the bubbles from the fish set by each fishes mouth.
Finally I finished the page with a Wordy sticker.

I used:
Distress spritz I used Spiced Marmalade
Black versafine Clair ink
Distress oxide inks - I used Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon, Abandoned Coral, Lumberjack Plaid and Aged Mahogany
Distress inks - I used Picked Raspberry and Ripe Persimmon
White gesso

I will be live at 8pm this evening on the Bee Crafty Facebook page. I hope you can join me! Thanks for looking!
