Experimenting for Allsorts

It's been another busy week so far, but in a bid to have a go at the Allsorts saving nature challenge I dug out some bits of Amazon packaging that I had a go at spraying and altering a little while ago. I really liked the effect, but hadn't really though about making them into a card. Here is a close up first to show you a bit of the corrugated packaging.
I sprayed it with crafty Notions creative colour sprays, then when it was dry I added a variety of glitter, seed beads and  micro beads. I used gold acrylic paint around the edge and heated it to make it bubble.
I stamped a paper artsy castle, embossed in Sheena's wow powders (Brass) and coloured with distress inks. I mounted it on a base card stamped with the same stamp and brushed with pearl pigments in gold.
My final offering is another very simple scene masked and sponged with distress inks. The tree is a Lavinia stamp.
Thanks for looking!

Love your altered corrugated packaging which looks gorgeous with it's dressing up.
The simple tree card is lovely too as the colours bring Spring to mind (not much chance of that here as there's a howling gale outside!)

Well who would have thought that Amazon packaging could look so good, I just put it in the recycling bin!!! I love your little caste, Sally.
Your second card is a stunner. I adore this look, it's so classy, more like a work of art.
Hope you have a great weekend.

Hmmm . . . and there was me thinking I liked you! Now I've gone right off you as you have made such a BEAUTIFUL card when me and my brayer are enemies and I NEVER get any good results!!!! Have spent a small fortune on Lavinia stamps because I love them so much!!!!! HOW do you do it so well?

Oh . . . I read your description properly now, and see you used sponges rather than a brayer, but I still have NO SUCCCESS with those either!

Clever idea for your first card Sally. The corrugated card is one of the techniques I keep wanting to have a go at and never quite get round to it. You did a superb job here and the castle looks great on top (and underneath, lol)

The second card is beautiful. Such delicate colours. I get on fine with sponges and I'm not bad with brushes but as for a brayer, humph! definitely a no no for me! I've seen you make a lovely job of that too though.
