A sketch at Stamping Sensations

Good Morning! It is the first Sunday of the Month, so time for a new Challenge at Stamping Sensations. Our lovely Teamie Tracy has created a sketch for us to follow this month, and asked us to use Summer Colours. Here is my take on the Sketch:
I used the stamp set Cherish, Hugs and dream from Little Claire, who are our sponsors this month. The Papers were created with one of the lovely butterfly stamps from the set, Ink Dusters and soothing sunset big and juicy ink. I coloured the main image with promarkers and added some stickles too.
Do pop over to the challenge blog for a closer look at the sketch and some fabulous inspiration from the DT. Here is a picture of the wonderful prize on offer.

Doesn't it look fabulous?  Talking of things looking fabulous, I wanted to quickly share a photo of Meg as she had her Prom on Friday night. I am such a proud Mum!
Thanks for looking and I hope you will enter the challenge this month!

Anyone for tea?

In between writing reports I had a bit of a look at Waltzing Mouse website and came across their sketch challenge. I sometimes find sketches a little too fussy for my liking, but the sketch for this week looked just my cup of tea!!!
I had printed off some gorgeous papers from Summertime Designs called Moments, and they reminded me of some oddments of china my Dad had found in his loft, that originally belonged to my Grandma. I used the Waltzing Mouse teacup (Afternoon Tea sentiments) which I paper pieced. For the sentiment I stamped the tea bag tag (Afternoon tea) and distressed with Tea Dye ink. I am really loving these colours at the moment and I can see so many possibilities for my tea cup stamp.
Thanks for looking!

Sketch Saturday Challenge #39

Here is my entry for sketch saturday's challenge. The Stamp is from Little Claire Designs and the papers are from Canon Creative Park. I coloured it with my watercolour pencils and puched the flowers, using tulip paint for the middles.

House Mouse Monday Challenge # 25

I've decided to enter my second ever sketch challenge, this time on House Mouse and friends Monday Challenge Blog. I've said in previous posts that I've a real soft spot for these little guys and the sketch and prize are very appealing.

I've used the stamp 'Oh! Happy Days!' featuring Monica, colouring her with watercolour pencils. The papers came free with a magazine several moons ago - I can't remember which, and the brads are from my stash. The stamp prize features a mouse bathing in a cup of marshmallows... let me dream!!!

Sketch Saturday Challenge #38

I was sat there surrounded by scraps of paper, wondering what to do with them when I thought of the Sketch Saturday Challenge website. This is the first time I've followed a sketch properly, and I'm not sure it's right, but there's no harm in trying! It also gave me another chance to use my nestabilities (I think I'm addicted!) The cake stamp is by the Stamping Bug, and the papers are from creative park.
