A hot dandedaisy

Hi There! Has it been warm enough for you?! I have to admit I have wilted a bit over the weekend. With the end of the month a few days away, I thought I would show you how I made this card with it's hot colours (Just like the Bee Crafty Facebook Group challenge theme!).

I began by blending Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, and Mustard Seed distress ink over some smooth white card.
Next, I stamped the 'rainbows' and the circles from Journaling Essentials #1 in Versafine Clair Black ink.
I added some more Picked Raspberry ink through the dinkable over the background and set aside.
On a scrap of mixed media paper I stamped the largest Dandedaisy in black ink and cut it out.
I smooshed the flower with the purple and pink ink, then added a few spots of Mustard Seed to the centre using a paint brush
I matted and layered the background onto a 6x6 card blank, adding the flower using foam pads and a wordy sticker for a sentiment
Here is the finished card again.
I used:
Distress inks in Picked Raspberry, Mustard seed and Wilted Violet
6x6 blank card
Black paper for matting and layering
Smooth white card stock

The blending brushes I used for this are new ones. I have to say I am very impressed with them so far. Thanks for looking!

New Stamp Launch today!

Hi There! I am here with the samples that I have made using the brand new Dancing Daisy Stamp set from Bee Crafty. They are being launched today over on the Bee Crafty Facebook page. I used the smaller daisy on my first card, embossing it in silver and stamping over the base card in lilac memento ink.
I blended the distress ink background for this one and added a little inking through the  Circles 1 Big one  inkable. The daisy was coloured with coloured pencils and the stamping was done with Barn Door Distress ink.

For this card I sprayed some mixed media paper with dylusions sprays. When this was dry I added some mustard seed distress oxide ink through the Circles for Circles big one inkable, then stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne and Distress oxide Lost shadow. The daisy was stamped onto white card and coloured with pencils. The sentiment is from mixed messages 2
I created two contrasting journal pages. The left page was smooshed with Lucky Clover and Twisted citron Distress oxide. The right page had an inkables mop up on it already from the big ones Bakewell
Finally, I used the circle easy frame and the horizon inkable to create the little scene, adding the larger daisy as a focal image.

I do hope you can join us for the lives.

More Bees!

Hi There! For today's blog post I thought I would show you how I made this clean and simple single layer card using the new Bee Mine stamp set.

I began by using stencil tape to mask off the top and bottom of a 13cm square ivory card. I blended mermaid lagoon ink at the top of the unmasked strip, and twisted citron at the bottom.
I used one of the stamps from the sketchy flowers set and stamped it in Versafine clair Verdant across the panel
I used colouring pencils tocolour in the flowers and leaves.
Next I removed the masking tape and stamped two of the smallest bees in versafine clair nocturne. I coloured with gelly roll moonlight pens and a pale blue colouring pencil.
Finally I added a sticker sentiment and a dotted line under each bee with a black micron pen.
I used
13cm square ivory card
Colouring pencils

On Wednesday evening I did a live over on the Bee Crafty Facebook page, making another simple card and a journal page using the doodle art bee stamp set.
You can find the live here
Don't forget the challenge on the Bee Crafty Stamps facebook group is to use warm/ hot colours. We would love you to enter!

BeeYouTeeFul new stamps!!!

Hi There! I've been having great fun with the new Bee Mine Stamp set from Bee Crafty! Here's the first card I made using the new stamps.

I began by taping around the edges of a 13cm square card using stencil tape. I blended Wild honey distress oxide over the central square.
Next I used wild honey and spiced marmalade distress oxide to stamp some of the honeycomb and rainbow stamps over the inky background.
Before removing the tape I blended a little vintage photo distress oxide ink around the edges.
Next I stamped the largest Bee and the sentiment in Black Versafine Clair ink onto the card.
I used coloured pencils to colour in the Bee.
I added a bit of sparkle to the wings using the gelly roll clear sparkle pen
Here is my finished card again.

I used:
13cm square ivory card
Distress oxide inks in Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Vintage photo
Coloured pencils
