My samples from the May 24 release for Bee Crafty

Hi There! I am here today with my samples from the new stamps, D'inkables, Catalyst cards,  transparencies mdf and wordy stickers launched yesterday on facebook.
The first two cards feature the greyscale catalyst cards and the birds from Journaling Essentials #6. It is so easy to add a pop of colour to the greyscale cards using either ink or the coloured papers.
Both of the new stamp sets are so gorgeous! The bold silhouette stamps are great for inking up in more than one colour, and the outline stamps are great for colouring in using your favourite mediums. They can be teamed up with the catalyst cards or your own inky backgrounds.
The wordy stickers are great as sentiments for cards or journal pages.
For this inky background I used some of the new dinkables
If you look closely at the background of this card you can see the leaf stamped in the smaller size found on the Journaling Essentials #2 stamp set.
The leaf outline stickers are great for embossing like the white on black I did here.
Both of these cards were made using the transparencies that come in a larger size than the stamps. Again they look great against the catalyst cards or your own inky background.
I used several of the new d'inkables and also some of the worker stamps in this inky background.
Finally, here is my first attempt using the book binding kit. It is a really fabulous kit and I can see myself making lots of them!
The Catalyst cards are the perfect size to add to the cover and the book can be stitched to hold the pages, or elastic added so the pages are removeable.
All of the products in the May release can currently be found by following this link to the website.

Easy, quick and Classy!

Hi there! Because I am beavering away at secret stuff I thought I would share an ultra quick but classy card with you today.

I began by stamping the leaf in versafine clair inks and clear heat embossing it on a scrap of cream card.
Next I took an Ivory 6x4 card, Placed the circles big one inkable over it and lightly blended peeled paint Distress oxide through it. Then I sponged a little black ink around the leaf and the base card, before layering the embossed leaf onto the base card using foam pads and some black card.
Finally, I added a sentiment from the small words stamp set using black versafine ink.
Here is the finished card again.
I used:
6x4" ivory base card
Ivory and black card scraps
Versafine Clair ink in Verdant, Summer Breeze and Nocturne
Distress oxide ink in Peeled Paint and Black Soot

So simple and quick, so if you are pushed for time, why not try something like this for the Challenge this month?

Inky Background Card

Hi There! I had lots of offcuts of white card on my desk so thought I would make use of one for this card.

I began by blending Distress ink across the card. I used Wild Honey, Abandoned Coral and Seedless Preserves.

Next I placed over the Tag inkable from set 3 and blended black ink through it.
Using the crackle stamp not on a block, I randomly stamped patches of crackle in Versafine Clair ink.
I added stamping using journaling essentials #1 in Abandoned Coral, Seedless Preserves and Versafine Clair black ink.
I added a splatter of Dina Wakley White gloss spray and left to dry.
On a scrap of black card I stamped and heat embossed a ticker tape sentiment in white.
I stamped a sketchy flower in black, coloured with pencils and cut out
Finally I matted the panel onto a 6x6 inch card, adding the sentiment and the flower on foam pads.
I used:
6x6 inch white card
14 x 7cm piece of smooth white card
Distress ink in Wild Honey, Abandoned Coral, Seedless Preserves and Black Soot
Dina Wakley White gloss spray
Embossing ink
Coloured pencils
foam pads

I will be live at 8pm this evening over on the Bee Crafty Facebook page. I hope you can join me!

I began by using the Skylines Horizon 1 inkable to add peacock feathers ink to the foreground of a 5x5inch piece of smooth card.
Next I stamped and cut out Sky Terrace before giving it a light spray with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide spray and left it to dry.
I used the stars from Journaling essentials #1 to stamp the sky in Peacock Feathers oxide ink.
Next I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Clair Twilight before assembling the card

Here is the finished card again.
I used:
Peacock feathers Distress oxide ink
Versafine Clair Ink in Twilight

A couple of ATCs

Hi There! It is lovely that Artist Trading Cards are still popular in the Crafting community. For this who don't already know, They are little creations measuring 2.5 x 3.5 inches. I thought I would show you how I made these ATCs today.

I began by spraying two ATCs using Distress oxide sprays in Peacock Feathers and Crackling Campfire, and left them to dry.
I used Versafine Clair ink in Warm Breeze and Acorn to Stamp some of the mandalas on to them.
Once these were dry, I rubbed over them with an anti static cloth and stamped a few patches of the crackle stamp in versamark ink, Embossing with Gold detail embossing powder.

On a scrap of white card I stamped the butterfly several times. I inked the centre of the stamp again and stamped directly onto the ATCs where the butterflies were to be positioned. I then coloured them and cut them out, cutting off the antennae.

I shaped the wings a little with a bone folder and stuck them on with Collage Medium.

Next I selected some words from the small word stamp set, stamped in Versamark ink onto some teal-coloured card and heat embossed in white. I cut these out and attached to the ATCs.
here are a couple more photos with the light catching the gold embossing

I used:
Mixed media card cut into ATCs
Distress oxide sprays in Peacock Feathers and Crackling Campfire
Coloured pencils
Versafine Clair inks in Nocturne, Warm Breeze and Acorn
Versamark ink
Embossing powders in detail gold and detail white

I will be live on the Bee Crafty Facebook page at 8pm this evening if you fancy joining me.
