More Follower Candy and last week's winner

 This candy is now closed
Hi There!
I have not had a moment this week, so blog land has had to take a back seat for a few days. Thanks to all the lovely people who commented on my last candy. The winner is....
                                    Sue's Crafty Corner
Please get in touch, Sue and I will send your card and stamps as soon as I get your address.
There is one last lot of candy. This time I have three stamps for you
The same rules apply as before. You need to be a follower through Google friends connect (Not Blog Lovin') and you must leave a comment. This candy will be open for two weeks.
Here is the card I have made to send with it
You really don't want to know how much of a 'save' this was, lol! At one point I said to Meg that I thought I should give up! There is no sentiment as yet, but I may pluck up the courage and add one later, hopefully without dropping anything or getting it upside down!
Thanks for looking!

And the Winner is...plus new candy

This candy is now closed
In celebration of five years in blog land the winner of my first lot of candy is............

Tracy Harris
Congratulations! Hope you haven't made all your Christmas cards already! Please email me Tracy, with your snail mail address so I can post your goodies off to you. Thanks for all your fab comments. I wish I could send all of you something. Still there are more chances to come!
Now on to the second lot of candy. Again this is follower candy for you lovely people who leave a comment on this post and are followers of my blog. If you want to be in with a chance make sure you leave a comment and follow this blog via google friends connect on the right there.
Onto the next card and candy then.
A simple card using three stamps, two of which are up for grabs, the script  and the trees. I dusted and stamped with Kaleidacolor Cappuccino Delight. The two die cut panels are matte card and the base panel is silk art card. One of those 'any occasion' cards I think. Hope you like it.
Here are the stamps on offer this week.
I will draw the winner next Saturday, and with any luck there will be another lot of candy too! I am back at work on Monday though, so the card may be a bit later than today. Thanks for looking!

5 years in blog land! who'd have thought it!

This candy is now closed
Would you believe it?! I have just realised it is my fifth anniversary of being a blogger! 745 posts and 245 followers later, I don't regret a second of it. First I think I need to say a huge thank you to all my followers and especially to those of you who comment and give me encouragement. Without you I would have given up long ago! Second I need to say thank you to Guzzie Sue and Lynne, without whom I wouldn't have dipped my toes in the water in the first place! Sue explained the process of setting up and Lynne and I took the plunge together, bouncing ideas off each other all the way.
To mark this occasion I decided to have some blog candy for my lovely followers. I am going to give away some stamps along with a card featuring said stamps, and there will be more than one lot. So, here is the first:

And here is the card:

For anyone who is stuck for ideas for Christmas cards, this could be right up your street. The possibilities for this set are endless! There are more cards made with the winter spruce set on this post. The only stamp I haven't included is the sentiment, and hopefully you will have some of those of your own.
I will draw a winner next Saturday 2nd November, by which time I should have sorted a new lot of candy. Just leave a comment below if you are interested and a follower.
Thanks for looking!

Thank You, Crafty Individuals!

Well, I've been having a little play with my new goodies from Crafty Individuals and here are the results.
The picture is a miniature from People and Places 2 and the frame was inked with Ripe persimmon and Fired Brick distress inks before embossing and rubbing with treasure brass. The flowery paper was made with memento Ink and some tiny flower stamps and the cream base card was stamped with a flourish in Antique linen distress ink.
My next card is very CAS. I used spring Distress inks and my ink dusters to create the panel before stamping in black
I added a touch of glitter on each of the butterflies and a sentiment from Inkylicious.
Right, I'd better go and start on my Anniversary card. It will be 24 years ago on Monday that we got married.
Thanks for looking!

Blog Candy Winner and a few bits and pieces

It has been a whole week since my last post and to be honest I have done very little besides go to work. The heat left me rather lethargic. The weekend has brought a reduction in temperatures here and I have felt a little more creative. I have completed a few small cards including this one.
The flower stamp is one of the Inkylicious Twinchies, a bargain at £1, but only currently available at shows. I stamped and them coloured in with promarkers, thinking of the Bellis that Steve's Dad grew until a couple of years ago. I love any daisy-type flowers and I knew this would be lovely as a background or a focal image. I can see I will use it lots!
So onto the Blog Candy. I put the names in a pot and pulled out a winner.  The winner is... Mags! Please email me with your postal address, Mags, so I can send you the Molly Blooms stamps. My email is on my profile page.  I have been rather lucky on the Candy front today myself, winning a huge stash of Crafty individuals products, so a big thank you to Jean and Malcolm. Perfect timing to be having a play too!
Finally, I will share a few sunset photos with you, taken in our garden as I have been trying to cool off a bit!

Thanks for looking! I will be having some more blog candy (not cute this time!) very soon.

Some photos in my garden, a couple of cards and some follower candy

I hope you have managed to stay cool enough this weekend. I have spent a good part of yesterday and a bit of today at Gedling Book festival. It was brilliant! Meg was volunteering there, so I thought I would pop over and see what was happening. I sat in on four talks/ workshops. They were in Marquees with a through draught, so perfect for the weather! Anyway, this hot weather has brought the flowers out on my pot marjoram and shasta daisies, so I thought I would share a couple of photos.

I also had a couple of cards to make, one for a colleague going on maternity leave...
I coloured the Mo manning image with promarkers, cut out with a nestie and mounted on some polkadot paper from Pink Petticoat. The sentiment is from Inkylicious.
My second card was one that I really didn't know what to put on it. I eventually settled on this for a chap who has been covering my class each Wednesday whilst I do management stuff (Technical term, that!). I used Kaleidacolor fresh greens and stamps from Inkylicious. It took me all of 10 minutes, tops!
Finally I promised Candy. This is the first of several I think. I am having a clear out and getting rid of things I don't use. First up is a bunch of 7 Molly Blooms stamps that have been used once or never. They are not to my taste at all, but I was asked to make a couple of cards to promote them some time ago.
It seems sensible to let them go to a good home. Leave a message below if you are interested and a follower. There will be some more follower candy soon.
Thanks for looking!

It has taken me a while, but I have finally got round to getting some follower candy organised. There are a couple of stamps, an embossing folder, some papers and some ribbon. I will let you know the winner on Sunday 24th February. If you want to post a picture of it then thank you, but you don't have to. BLOG CANDY and changes to the Stampalot challenge

 This candy is now closed

Thought I ought to let you know that as from November the starting date of challenges at Sir Stampalot will be the first Sunday of the month. That means that most months our challenge will run until the end of the month................unless the first Sunday falls on the first of the month...............but rather than complicate things there will be a list of exact dates on the sidebar to make life easier for all of us. Our current challenge will run until 31st October and the new challenge will start on Sunday 6th November.
Now, on to my Blog candy. If you come here regularly you will know that I have celebrated my third Bloggerversary this week, so as a big thank you to all my lovely followers I am having a bit of Blog candy to celebrate. I have also passed the landmark of my 500th post too. I do love being here in blog land and am amazed by all the lovely people I've met both electronically and in real life through blogging.  I want you to know how much I appreciate all your lovely comments and I'm offering this with no strings attached. If you are a follower then pop a comment below. I don't expect you to put anything in your side bar about it, but if you do then thank you. If you are a follower and you leave a comment below by 11th November you will be in with a chance of winning this prize.
I will attempt to add a few more bits to it over the next couple of weeks. Now, forgive me, but I've been to Doncaster and have some lovely new stash to play with so I'm off to have a little fun, probably with my own Inkylicious stamps like you can see in the picture!

All that remains now is for you to have a play with the letters you got, put them in the right order and email your answer to Brenda at brenda@ibas.co.uk. The lucky overall winner will get this fab punch around the page set.

I appreciate you blog candy!

This candy is now closed
Today has been a good day. I have my new glasses, my eyes are fine (the test results are good), I got some new goodies through the post and I had a great day at work... oh yes, and England won too! Does it get any better? well, yes it does, because I want to show you all how much I appreciate you all. I am offering these two stamps as blog candy to my lovely followers. I know how much you all love Tim, so you might have them already. I'll be honest with you. They have both been used once, but the end products were so unworthy of association with Mr Holtz I decided they needed a new home. So if you are a follower and would like to be in with a chance of winning them pop your name into Mr Linky below.
Thank you for all your support and lovely comments over the past eighteen months. I really do appreciate it!
P.S. I'll draw a winner on 11th July

Happy Bloggerversary to me!

This candy is now closed. It is a whole year ago today that I first set foot in Blog land, and what a happy place it is! I have made so many new friends and learned so much! I am still surprised and delighted by the responses and messages I receive. To celebrate this wonderful community I am offering the blog candy in the photo above. I will try and find a few more bits too. If you would like to be in with a chance of winning it You can leave a comment on this post. You get two chances if you are a follower and three if you leave a link to my candy on your blog and are a follower. Does that make sense? Comment = 1 chance, comment+follower = 2 chances, comment+follower+link= 3 chances. I will draw the winner on Saturday 31st October.
You will have to forgive me. I am operating through a fog of pain killers and antibiotics due to an infection in my mouth. I can't open my mouth very wide and my tongue and cheek are swollen. I'm being very quiet and eating flat food!!!! Biscuits slide in nicely, but I could no more bite an apple than unicycle at the moment! The dentist is going to see what is causing it in about ten days, once the pills have done their job. I've got a funny feeling it might end in them taking out another wisdom tooth that is growing at a very funny angle.
Anyway, enough about my teeth. I want to say a huge thank you to all of you for being such wonderful bloggers and great friends too!

A quick wedding card and look what arrived!

A workmate asked me for a wedding card on Tuesday- for this weekend! I had bought these lovely swirls and flourishes stamps(Personal Impressions) from hobbycraft last week, so decided to use them with gold embossing powder and some flat backed pearls. The sentiment was computer generated and cut out using labels 2 Nestabilities. I won't be doing any more heat embossing until the heatwave is over, as I had to have a shower afterwards!
I've been all excited twice this week - once when I won some super blog candy from Glenda (will post something as soon as it arrives!), and again when my parcel from Joanna Sheen arrived. I now have super organised promarkers. Before this I had a box that was rather noisy and I had wrecked two pencil cases by forcing the zip! At Joanna Sheen they sell the best value promarkers I have found at £1.59 each and P&P is free! I ordered on Sunday Night and they arrived at work on Tuesday - how good is that? It is so good to know I can find the right colour without tipping them out on the floor!
