Rudolf Days for June

A very quick offering for Rudolf Day from me this month and only one card as my time has been taken up writing my last lot of reports. I finished them yesterday, so I'm very happy! Just 21 more work days to go!
Anyway, onto my card...I used a stamp from Inkylicious and some papers from an artylicious cd (possibly) I'd covered the card with the paper a very long time ago, so I can't remember! The sentiment is pre-printed and cut from Craftwork cards. the glitter glue finished it off.
Do pop over to Mo's blog and check out the lovely creations there!
Many thanks for looking and for your comments. Hope I will have lots of cards next month to make up for the single one this month!

Pastel Colours for Allsorts

This week's challenge at Allsorts is to use pastel colours. I used my gelli plate and oxide inks to make the paper using a Honey Doo stamp called repot rose. It is one of those gorgeously simple fine-lined stamps that make a beautiful card.  I then stamped the image onto watercolour paper and coloured with my Arteza brush pens, adding a little glitter glue in the centre of each flower.
As I got home from work on Friday my next door neighbour was waiting for me and asked if I could make her a 90th birthday card for her mother-in-law. I invited her in to take a look in my box to see if any were the sort of thing she was looking for. This is the card she chose, so I added a 'Happy 90th Birthday' sentiment to the front and another sentiment inside. She was delighted with it. I'm looking forward to using my gelli plate a lot more in five weeks time! I've written 21 reports now, so only 8 more to go, then I will enjoy reacquainting myself with my craft table.
Thanks for looking and for all your lovely comments.

A Turtley beautiful Stamp for mid month inspiration

Here is my mid month inspiration for Stamping Sensations where the theme is 'Show your true colours'. My favourite colours are green, blue and purple. The stamp is from Pink Ink designs and was a birthday present from my hubby (the sort you buy yourself then they wrap up 😆). Isn't he beautiful? I created the background by smooshing Distress oxide inks, before stamping the turtle and colouring it with Zig clean colour markers. I used an inkylicious twinchie splatter stamp all around the edge and to create a little detail in the water and a little white gel pen on the turtle's shell.
You still have plenty of time to enter the challenge, so do pop over to the challenge blog for more inspiration. Don't forget to check your entry against the challenge rules!

A garden full of fledglings!

Hi there! Thought I would take the opportunity to share some photos of the new fledglings in the garden. I think the weather kept a few broods nest-bound for longer than expected and over the last few days we have had lots at the feeders. I haven't managed to photograph them all, but we have at least 5 blue tits, 3 great tits, 4 robins, 2 blackbirds and 4 or 5 wrens in addition to the house sparrows, starlings and godfinches that were around before the rain.
Here are some photos...
first up is the blackbird

Daddy blackbird is very busy keeping them fed
 Here is a great tit

then some bluetits...

 Here are the robins...

 More blue tits

 The tiny tiny wrens...

 And one last robin...
So as you can see the report writing is going slowly when I have all these distractions just outside the window and a camera next to me!!! Hope you have enjoyed looking at the photos and not noticed the state of our windows, lol!
Thanks for looking and I will be back on Tuesday with my mid month inspiration for Stamping Sensations.

A dragon for Allsorts

The Challenge over at Allsorts this week is Fantasy World, so a perfect opportunity to share this gorgeous Dragon stamp from Pink Ink. I stamped it on watercolour paper and coloured it with brushos and zig brush pens. I also used some gold and blue metalic sprays to splatter the background before adding lots of dots of glitter glue and liquid pearls. I have seen so many beautiful cards made with this stamp and am looking forward to colouring it in lots of different ways. Seven weeks left at work and then I hope I will get chance to play with it some more.
Thanks for looking!
EDIT: Delighted to say that I won at Allsorts! 😁
