Hi There! Over on the Bee Crafty Facebook Group we have a new Challenge for November where we want to see you using Catalyst Card or Catalyst collage papers. I thought this would be a great opportunity to use one of the Catalyst Collage papers that I've no used yet from the Daisy Rainbow Paint set. I had cut away part of the previous page so wanted some way of decorating my page to reflect that. Here's how I created my journal pages
I began by trimming the Catalyst Collage paper to fit the page, and stuck it down, leaving the area where the page had been cut away without coverage.
Next I stamped the Sunflower head 3 times onto a scrap of white card using black ink.
I cut these out and attached them to the left hand page using matte medium. This also allowed the gerbera to peek through from the previous page.
Whilst the medium dried, I added some stamping using Journaling essentials #9 set to the background.
Next, I coloured the Sunflowers using Ecoline brush Pens.
I cut out the word Resilience from the Resilience Transparency print and decided on where I was going to position it before cutting the word into two pieces so the pages would still fold. I stuck it down with Matte Medium.
Underneath the transparency print I used my white posca pen to add 'is my superpower'. I had intended to make it either straight or at more of an angle, but as usual when I add my own writing I didn't quite get the result I was looking for 😂
Finally I outlined the letters with a Sakura fine liner.
Here is the finished spread again.
I used:
Black versafine Clair ink
Ecoline pens
Matte Medium
White posca pen
