Warm dragonfly wishes

Hi there! Thought I  would have a play with some inkables on a card today.

I began by blending shades of green Distress oxide inks across a 14x14cm piece of white card.

I then placed the jungle leaves inkable over the top and blended some black soot distress oxide through it.

I splattered a little water on it, lifting off with a cloth. Once this was dry I placed the inner part of the Dragonfly easy frame onto the background and blended more black ink around it.
Next I stamped some of the worker stamps from the doodle art dragonfly set around the background.
I stamped the dragonfly stamp onto a piece of watercolour card, cut it out and coloured with ecoline pens.

I attached the background to the base card, then added the dragonfly with 3d glue.
finally I added a sentiment using black ink on a scrap of white card and doodled a border using a black fine liner.
Here is the finished card with a little glossy accents added to the dragonfly.
Here are the products I used:
Distress oxide inks in Lucky clover, cracked pistachio, rustic wilderness and black soot
Inkable 6" easy frame - dragonfly
Doodle Art Dragonfly stamp set- regular
Wordage everyday sentiments 1- regular
Ecolines
glossy accents

Bev and Sam are on Create and Craft on Tuesday with some brand new stamps and Inkables. Before I go here is a sneaky peek!

before I go I also want to say thank you for the lovely comments you leave for me. I am so sorry I am so useless at commenting. It has been a bit busy recently with craft and non-craft stuff.  I will share some pics soon from Meg's garden now it is taking shape. Thanks for looking!

Paint and Dinkables playtime

Hi There! I thought I would use a few dinkables and paint to create a card for my blog post today. Here's how I made it.
I began by painting a piece of mixed media card with gesso adding a little ruby and ocean paint

Once this was dry I stamped it all over with the script background stamp
Next I used the innie from the leafy dinkable and stippled black gesso over it three times along the bottom. In the process I managed to get black gesso on the top half too, so carried on and painted it all
The cloud dinkable from set ten was used to add texture paste clouds across the top section.
once these were dry I added a faux stitched like around all the elements.

On a scrap of watercolour card I stamped, coloured and cut out the flowers from the Doodle art XL bird set.
I stuck the background onto a white card blank and added the flowers with 3d glue
And here is the finished card. I hope this has given you more ideas on how to use those inkables and stamps! Don't forget to enter the Challenge on the Bee Crafty Facebook group too.
Here are links to the items I used:
acrylic paint ( I used the Dina Wakely ones, but Dylusions paint in Blue Lagoon and Cherry Pie would be very similar)

New Crafty Individuals Stamps part one

 Hi There!

Did you see Jean Hardy  on Create and Craft on Friday 1st April? There were some new stamps and papers as well as some older stamps and greyboard too. Jean's demos were wonderful as always. I thought I would share my samples in several posts over this week. Todays are the new butterflies.

My lolly stick plaque also has a sentiment from Chocolate Baroque.
The new papers feature on this sample too.
Here is a journal page using an older stamp in the background and the new butterflies as focal points.
As well as these samples I made some ATCs for a facebook live on Wednesday
You can find the Video from the live here
During the Live we decided to have a Crafty Individuals ATC swap. If you would like to join in here is a link to the swap in the Facebook group

All of the new stamps, papers and greyboard can be found here on the website

A Spring Tulip

Hi there! I think all of the spring flowers coming out has got me reaching for my tulip stamp again! Here is a spring card to share with you.
I cut a piece of watercolour card 9 x 20cm and sprayed it with Distress oxide sprays.

Once this was dry I sprayed water through the circles dinkable to make a faux bleached effect.
I stamped little patches of the script stamp in  tea dye distress ink onto the background
Next I used morning mist versafine clair ink to stamp the tulip onto the panel.
I coloured it using ecoline pens. At this point I decided to make the tulip more dimensional.
I stamped the flower twice in Versafine Clair charming Pink, cutting off the petals that are to the rear of the flower on one of them. I then shaped these and attached them using 3d glue. I also added a few highlights in white gellyroll pen.
I stamped a speckled border around the edge of the panel in vintage photo distress ink
Finally I stuck the panel to an ivory DL card and added a sentiment stamped in brown ink.
Here are links to the items I used:
Distress oxide sprays (I used twisted citron, squeezed lemonade and spun sugar)
Brown, grey and pink versafine clair ink
Ivory DL card
