A Digi for Dora and last minute Rudolf Days

Hi There! What am I like eh? nothing for a week then 3 posts in 3 days, and there will be more, lol!

My first offering here is one of Dora's digis. The DT have all used the same digi this month and they are all so different! You can find Dora's Digis here

Next up are two Christmas cards made with Bee Crafty stamps and inkables for this month's Rudolf Days Challenge. I am a bit late as the challenge finishes at the end of tomorrow, but I made it just in time! I used distress ink on the base card and some splatters of Pretty Gets Gritty explosion powders too.
Do check out Mo's blog for amazing inspiration to get your Christmas cards made every month!
Thanks for looking and I hope you like them all! I will be back before Friday with a sneaky peek of the new Crafty Individuals stamps that are on Hochanda (Soon to be The Craft Store) on Friday at 10 am and 2pm.

Bee Crafty Windmills and Lighthouses

Good Morning! I am here with my samples from last week's Bee Crafty Hochanda launch of the stunningly gorgeous lighthouse and windmill stamps. Both sets are available in regular and XL sizes and all have coordinating dies too.

These first two used the XL stamps and dies. The first was made into an easel card and the second has a grungy background made with Dina Wakely gloss sprays in Marine, Cheddar and White.

Next up is my mdf mini journal using both sets of regular stamps and dies as well as the clouds and the flower palm big ones inkables

If you didn't know already, the dies cut through shrink plastic really well as you can see from this windmill keyring, coloured with coloured pencils
The popouts on the show this time included some wonderful seaside images, waves, clouds,  letters and numbers which will be great for all sorts of personalised projects as well as home decor like this plaque and of course on cards.

I made some more Clean and simple cards with the sets too, combining them with various big ones stencils.

And finally here is my lighthouse lit up with fake tea lights.

You can find the Stamps and dies in various bundle combinations here on the website, and don't forget to look at the Bee Crafty blog, you tube channel and facebook group for more inspiration.

Bluebells

Hi There! So sorry I haven't been around Blog land much for a couple of weeks. I was busy working on samples and then my laptop decided to stop working. It has taken a little while to sort out a new one and install most things, but I am back now, hopefully without having lost too much. It is a bit of a rigmarole to transfer photos from my camera until I get a card reader. My old laptop had a slot the right size but this one doesn't!

Anyway, here is something I can show you! This is a card made with the latest stamp from Crafty Individuals. It is a stunning bluebell sketch by Jean. This is on a 7"x7" card so you can see the stamp is a really good size. You can find it here.

I stamped it on a background created with Pretty Gets Gritty explosion powders and coloured with arteza metallic watercolours. The sheen really doesn't show in the photo, which is a shame! The base card was stencilled with distress inks (mermaid lagoon, blueprint sketch and wilted violet) and a That's Crafty mandala stencil.

How is it going? I hope you are okay. We are looking forward to being able to go a little further for a walk and meet up with Meg and Grant too. We haven't seen them in the flesh since Christmas.

Thanks for looking!

Butterfly Journal pages

 Hi there!

I thought I would share a journal spread I did recently with you. Several of the stamps are in the end of line section on the Bee Crafty website, and when they're gone they're gone, I'm afraid. For these pages I used:

Inkable Big ones Bakewell

Beautanicals Wildflower 2 and wildflower 3 stamps

Travel words1 stamps

multi mini distress diamonds stamp

 texture borders set

Butterflies from the regular birds and butterflies set (one of mine was from the XL set too, but there are plenty to choose from including some in the end of line section here

Dies for the regular birds and butterflies (XL ones are here too)

Crackling Campfire and Rustic Wilderness Distress oxide inks

Versafine clair ink in Shady Lane and Nocturne

Ranger Matte Collage medium

It was all done in my Dylusions Mini Journal

I found a page I had started by misting an inkable with water and popping it into my journal. The colours I had used were crackling campfire and rustic wilderness, so I decided to carry on with the same colours and the same inkable.
I added more of the colours with a blending tool and then added more through the stencil, mostly around the edges of the pages.
Next I stamped the distressed diamonds in gaps around the edge and splattered with water and a few drops of gold mica spray.
I stamped the wildflowers bottom left with the shady lane ink
I stamped the words in the same shades of Distress oxides.
I then added the dots in black versafine clair ink around the edges of the pages before moving aside.
I stamped my three butterflies onto some cartridge paper using the versafine clair black ink
I painted them with my Inktense blocks, or I could have used ecolines, and cut them out using the dies before sticking them in place using collage medium. Here it is again.

This has to be my favourite colour combination at the moment! Hope you like it! I may well add a few little extras but I am happy with it for now.

Before I go here is a sneaky peek to remind you to tune in to Hochanda at 1pm tomorrow for the most beautiful brand new stamps, dies and MDF from Bee Crafty. I have loved making samples with them and love the designs so much! Thanks for looking!

A Clean and Simple card

Hi there! I am in the middle of lots of DT stuff at the moment, so a clean and simple card seemed like a good idea. Here is my very quick and simple step by step for my card. There are lots of circles on it, so it would also fit the theme for the monthly challenge in the Bee Crafty facebook group. Come and join us if you haven't already!

What I used:

XL Doodle Art Ladybird stamp set

Wordage Regular everyday sentiments 2 stamp set

6" circle easy frame inkable

Distress Oxide inks in Speckled Egg, Peacock Feathers and Walnut Stain

Versafine Clair ink in fallen leaves

13 cm square card blank

Here is what I did:

First I used a blending brush to ink inside the circle inkable with Speckled egg ink.

Next I removed the inkable and stamped the cluster of circles (Ladybird set) around the edge of the inked circle using Peacock Feathers and Walnut Stain oxide inks. This left a small gap.

I set this aside and stamped the flower and leaf from the Ladybird set onto some watercolour card.

I coloured them using coordinating ecoline pens and cut them out.

I added them to the gap in the circle frame with glue.

Finally I stamped the sentiment in the versafine clair ink in the centre.

I hope you like it and it has provided a little inspiration.

Do keep a lookout for sneaky peeks coming up very soon for the brand new goodies that Bev is taking to Hochanda  on 23rd March

Thanks for looking!

Mother's day inspiration

Hi There! Several people asked me how I made the background for the first of my samples that I shared last week, so I thought I would do a step by step. This time though I thought it could be a little inspiration for Mother's Day as it is on Sunday here in the UK.

I used Distress inks in spiced marmalade, mustard seed, festive berries, picked raspberry, wilted violet, citrus twist, mermaid lagoon, blueprint sketch and black soot.

The stamps I used were Typewriter Alpha, Ledger and Jane's Flowers and Leaves 1

6" Heart Easy Frame inkable

Something to splatter - Water or something containing mica powders (I used some very old sprays)

Versafine Clair black ink and versamark ink

Clear and white embossing powder

Here is how I made it:

First I applied the distress inks in patches around the edge of a 13cm square of card with make-up blender brushes. I swiped the pink and the purple lightly across the middle, but left it lighter than around the edge.

Next I stamped over the inked card with the ledger stamp and the versafine clair ink.

I put the heart inkable 'innie' in the middle of the card and brushed the black ink around it and around the edge of the panel.

I then used the water and mica sprays to add a few splatters and set aside to dry.

Once it was dry I matted and layered it onto black paper and a white 15cm square card.

Next I stamped three flowers in black ink on to white card and clear embossed them.

Once they had cooled, I cut them out and shaped a little with a ball tool.

I Stamped 'Mum' using Versamark ink and white embossed onto a scrap of black card.

Finally I added them to the card using 3d glue gel. Hope you like it!

Hope all the Mums out there have a good Mother's day despite Lockdown. Lets hope we can celebrate properly later in the year.

Thanks for looking!
