Learn from Yesterday Art Journaling

Hi There! Here's a journal spread that I created using the latest stamps, Dinkables and Catalyst Collage papers from Bee Crafty. Let me show you how I did it.

I began by painting the right page of a double in my Kraft journal with white gesso.
Next, I added some drops of laidback lilac, peony blush and pure sunshine Dylusions paint, and spread them around with my fingers.
Once this was dry I used the lines Dinkable to add some polished jade dylusions paint...
and some white gesso through the Dotty Dinkable.
I added my selected Catalyst collage paper, torn to fit, to the left page with matte medium.

Using the same dinkables and paint I added some dots and lines to the left page. I also added a few scraps left over from the papers to the right page with matte medium.
On a piece of white card, I stamped the largest cone flower and coloured it with coloured pencils. Then I cut it out.
Finally, I added it to the right page with matte medium, along with some wordy stickers.
Here are the finished pages again.
I used:
Catalyst Collage papers - I used Birds and Sunflowers A5
Dylusions paint - I used laidback lilac, peony Blush, Pure sunshine and polished jade
White gesso
Black ink - I used Versafine Clair Nocturne
Coloured pencils

There's almost a week left of September , so please don't forget to get your entries in the Bee Crafty Stamps Facebook Group challenge, where the theme is Embossing.

Hey Sunshine!

Hi There! I thought I would show you how I made this simple card today using the gorgeous new stamps from Bee Crafty.

I began by stamping the beautiful larger coneflower in black Versafine Clair ink and coloured it in using ecoline pens. Once it was done I cut it out.
Next I took an A5 base card and fastened a big one inkable to it using masking tape. Through the inkable I blended 3 distress oxide inks.

I added to the background by stamping various stamps from Journaling Essentials #9 in lost shadow Distress Ink.
Next I added a border using several worker stamps from the Cone Flower set, also in Lost shadow ink
I used a sentiment from Mixed Messages #4 stamp set in Purple Delight Versafine Clair ink.
I used 3d foam pads to add the cone flower to the front of the card.
Finally I added some white highlights to the flower using a gel pen.
I used:
Distress oxide inks in Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry
Distress ink in Lost Shadow
Versafine Clair ink in Nocturne and Purple Delight
A5 card
3d foam pads
Ecoline pens
White gel pen

I will be live over on the Bee crafty Facebook page at 8pm this evening, so please tune in if you can!

Hi There! I hope you were able to see the new products launch by Bee Crafty yesterday. I am here sharing the samples that I made.
My first is a very simple white embossed cone flower card, using the same techniques as last week's blog post.
Next up I used the A4 catalyst collage papers- Birds and Sunflowers. The rich colours on these papers are wonderful!
I created this rainbow journal spread using Journaling Essentials 9 stamp set.
Here's another card made using the gorgeous Doodle Art cone flower stamps.
For these two samples I used the Catalyst collage papers- painted petals and portraits along with the Journaling Essentials 9 stamp set
There are loads more samples from the  Creative Team to come as well as on the Facebook group.  I can't wait to see what you create with these gorgeous stamps and papers

Here's some links for you- there are some fab multibuy offers at the moment!

Hello September

Hi There! Thought I would share a bit of embossing with you today, as our new challenge over in the Bee Crafty Stamps Facebook group is embossing. This can be heat embossing or dry embossing, so here I am using heat embossing.

I began by blending autumnal colours of Distress oxide inks over a 4x4" piece of watercolour card.
Once this was dry, I stamped the leaves in Versamark ink and sprinkled with clear embossing powder
Using a heat tool I melted the embossing powder and then let it cool.
Over the top of this I sponged a good layer of Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink.
Next i spritzed with some coordinating Distress spritz and left to dry before a quick polish of the embossed areas with a soft cloth.
Finally I added a wordy sticker sentiment.
Here is a close up of that shimmer too.

I used:
Distress oxide inks - I used Mustard Seed, Rusty Hinge, Peeled Paint, Crackling Campfire, Walnut stain and Ground Espresso
Versamark ink
Distress spritz - I used Spiced Marmalade, Barn Door and Walnut Stain

I will be live this evening on the Bee Crafty Facebook page with more ideas for our embossing themed challenge.
I am a little late today because I am catching up with chores after Black Belt Camp at the weekend. 12 hours of karate over 2 days at Keele University.  Here's a couple of photos
