Rudolf Day for July

Well I'm not sure where July went, but it has sped by and it is well into Rudolf days! 2 posts in one day too - what on earth has come over me?  I wasn't sure I was going to make it to be honest, as we have been helping with Meg's new house, but we are having a bit of a break today and will be back at it tomorrow. Hoping they will be able to move in on Saturday! That meant I had a chance to make a couple of Christmas cards today. Both of these use Crafty Individuals CI-532. I did the round bauble in Traditional collours and the longer bauble in shades of lilac and turquoise. On this second card I used a couple of free stamps to do the background and  CI-446 for the Curly word sentiment.

Do pop over to Scrappy Mo's blog and take a look at the Christmassy inspiration. There are some absolute beauties.

Bee Crafty DT samples

Hello! Did you catch the Bee Crafty shows on Hochanda last week? Here are the samples I made, and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and could have carried on making lots more! All stamps, brand new dies and Stencils can be found on the Bee Crafty Website

This little journal has gelli print pages and was made using an Easy Bind template from Janie's Originals.

If you missed the shows you can still visit the Hochanda website and catch them on rewind (23rd July 11am and 3pm).

Thanks for looking!

Gelli Plate real estate

A week or two ago, I decided it was time to get my gelli plate out and have a play with it, using some dylusions paints and mandala stencils.  I'd watched a Seth Apter live on facebook (Crafting with All Brands group) and learned not to rush in to pull prints off, but to let the paint dry a little. The result was 22 sheets of gelli prints, my favourite 4 in the photo above 😂
I often have an evening making backgrounds and then leave them for ages before using them.

This time I am pressing some in to use straight away as a nice bold background for one of the wonderful doodle art house stamps. Just like last week I have stamped the Villa Rose onto book pages and cut it out, but this time I've coloured some parts of the stamps with ecoline brush pens. I stamped the leafy border onto the base card using Versafine Clair Summertime. Thanks for looking!

I joined the Bee Crafty Design Team!

A couple of weeks ago Bev from Bee Crafty messaged me to ask if I would join the Bee Crafty DT. Of course I said yes!  Things were very very busy at Bee Crafty HQ at that precise moment as they had a couple of Hochanda shows in quick succession, so whilst I was waiting to find out more, I made this canvas, that had been in my head, wanting to be made for a long while. If you would like to know how I made it, do pop over to the Bee Crafty Blog and please leave me a comment. there are links to the fabulous stamp too.

July at Stamping Sensations

It is the first Sunday of the month and time for another challenge at Stamping Sensations. This month our theme is
***All Creatures Great and Small***
and our sponsors are the lovely Jean and Malcolm of Crafty Individuals.
My first card was made with CI-523 otherwise known as Happy Cat. the background was created using dylusion sprays including the white one through a mandala stencil from That's Crafty.

My second card was made using  CI 526 and CI 430. The stag was stamped, coloured and cut out, before placing on the background with 3d glue. This was a father's day card, but could quite easily be used for any time of the year.
Please remember we are a stamping challenge and the focal element of your work must reflect the theme (i.e. real animals/insects). Whist we prefer conventional stamping, digital images are allowed. You can check out the challenge rules here.
Do go to the challenge blog to check out the breathtaking creations from my multi-talented teamies. You can also find more details of the fantastic prize!
