A bright and cheerful journal page

Hi There! I'm here with a step by step tutorial for this journal page in my 6x6 kraft journal today.

I began by brushing white gesso across the page, leaving a small border of kraft around the edge.

Next I painted blocks of colour onto the page. I used Dylusions paints in Periwinkle, Blue Lagoon and Bubblegum pink. Once this was dry I used the Circles 1 big one inkable, and a set 5 dinkable to add some more white and some black gesso over the colours. (Sorry, I forgot to take a photo for this stage!)
I used an antistatic bag before stamping patches of the Script in Versamark ink and heat embossing in gold.
On a scrap of black card I heat embossed the sentiment in White.
I tore some strips of greyscale Catalyst card to add to the page.
next I cut out the largest leaf from the transparency sheet, before adding these elements to the page with Matte Medium and a few white splatters.
Here is the finished page again...
... and next to it's partner in the journal.
I used:
6x6 kraft journal
White gesso
Dylusions paints in Blue Lagoon, Periwinkle and Bubblegum pink
Big one inkable -Circles one
Versamark ink

It was lovely to sit and play in my journal. Hope you like the results.

A page in my Kraft journal

Hi There! I have enjoyed a little play in my kraft journal using a variety of Bee Crafty stamps, inkables and catalyst papers. Here's how I did it.
I began by adding some catalyst paper to the right hand side of the page with matte medium.
Next I used the 4x4 easy frame star to add some white ink stars to the kraft part of the page.

I also added some partial stars in Black soot Distress oxide ink.
using the star D'inkable from set 1, I added some small stars using texture paste.

I stamped the stars in white ink around the page.
using versafine clair black ink I stamped the squares around the page.
On a separate scrap of card I stamped, cut out and coloured the flower and leaves.

I also stamped a sentiment and cut it out.
Finally I added all elements to the page with Matte medium and splattered a little Radical Gloss Drops to finish it.
I used:
Dina Wakely 6x6 Kraft Journal
White  ink
Distress oxide ink in black soot
Ecoline pens

I am hoping to have enough voice to go live over on the Bee Crafty Facebook page at 8pm this evening. Thanks for looking!

A kraft journal page

Hi There! Thought I would have a little play in my Kraft Journal yesterday. Here's the page I completed. So far I have done mainly double page spreads in this journal but I thought I would ring the changes and just do a single page this time.

I began by brayering a little gesso onto the page.
Next I stamped the  Script stamp in vintage photo distress oxide ink onto the page.
I used a 6x6 mandala and a blending brush to add some spiced marmalade distress oxide over it.

Whilst that dried I stamped some leaves from Journaling essentials 2 onto a scrap of white card using versafine clair shady lane ink and cut them out.
I stamped the sunflower (flower only) onto another piece of white card, coloured it and cut it out.
Back on the background I stamped and embossed more leaves using twisted citron distress embossing glaze, and added the first leaves with matte medium
I also added the sunflower and used versafine clair black ink to add some more stamping from the journalling essentials set around the page
On a scrap of black card I stamped and embossed the sentiment from mixed messages 3, cutting each line apart.
Finally I added the sentiment to the page too.
I used:
Versafine Clair ink in Shady Lane and Nocturne
Versamark ink for embossing

There are still lots of offers on the Bee Crafty website to celebrate Bee Crafty's 21st birthday, along with challenges on the Bee Crafty Facebook group. Hope you can join in!

Time amongst Trees journal pages

Hi There! I am sure many of you know how much I love a good tree stamp and this set is in the end of line section on the Bee Crafty website at the moment. I thought I would create a journal spread with it in my Dina Wakely Kraft journal, so here is a step by step on how it came together.

First I painted clear gesso across both pages and set aside to dry.
I took some book pages and tore them into strips, adding a little colour with distress oxide inks. (If using book pages is something you struggle to do, you could always ask for any damaged books in your local charity shop)
On the dry journal page I sprayed Dylusions White Linen and Tarnished brass Distress spray stain with a little water and let it dribble down the page.
Once the pages were dry I stuck on the strips of paper with matte medium.
I dry brushed a little gesso over the text and went around the edge of the landscape bits with a Pumice stone distress crayon.
Next I stamped the tree in versafine clair on the lower hill.
on the opposite side I stamped the sentiment.
Using Hero arts unicorn white ink and the versafine clair I stamped several of the Journal Art Elemnets stamps around the page to finish it off.
Here is the finished page, although I might add a few doodles with a white pen or a black fineliner around the edges.

I used:
Book pages

On Wednesday I did a facebook live stamping on fabric for a mixed media journal page. Here is the finished page.

You can find the video on the Bee crafty Facebook page here.
Thanks for looking and enjoy your weekend!

Sassy Journal spread

Hi There! Hope you have had a great time over the last few days and been able to celebrate Christmas with your loved ones. I am here to share a step by step for a rather cheeky journal spread I made recently in my Kraft Journal.

I began by painting white gesso on each page leaving a kraft border. I then painted over with the dylusions paint and dylusions shimmer paint in random patches.

Next I added some Dina Wakely metallic paint.
I used a dinkable and a texture disc to add some texture - some with texture paste and some with white gesso
Once this was dry I added stamping in Black versafine clair - First the ledger stamp...
Then some coffee rings and numbers from the coffee stains set. I set this aside to dry.
I stamped the Sassy Journaling Girl in black onto white paper and cut out
I stuck her to the page with Distress Collage Matte medium.
Next I selected a back chat sticker and added it to the opposite page.

Finally I added a few sequins, white splatters and highlights using moonlight gelly rolls, a posca pen and the Dina Wakely white gloss spray.
