A couple of ATCs

Hi There! It is lovely that Artist Trading Cards are still popular in the Crafting community. For this who don't already know, They are little creations measuring 2.5 x 3.5 inches. I thought I would show you how I made these ATCs today.

I began by spraying two ATCs using Distress oxide sprays in Peacock Feathers and Crackling Campfire, and left them to dry.
I used Versafine Clair ink in Warm Breeze and Acorn to Stamp some of the mandalas on to them.
Once these were dry, I rubbed over them with an anti static cloth and stamped a few patches of the crackle stamp in versamark ink, Embossing with Gold detail embossing powder.

On a scrap of white card I stamped the butterfly several times. I inked the centre of the stamp again and stamped directly onto the ATCs where the butterflies were to be positioned. I then coloured them and cut them out, cutting off the antennae.

I shaped the wings a little with a bone folder and stuck them on with Collage Medium.

Next I selected some words from the small word stamp set, stamped in Versamark ink onto some teal-coloured card and heat embossed in white. I cut these out and attached to the ATCs.
here are a couple more photos with the light catching the gold embossing

I used:
Mixed media card cut into ATCs
Distress oxide sprays in Peacock Feathers and Crackling Campfire
Coloured pencils
Versafine Clair inks in Nocturne, Warm Breeze and Acorn
Versamark ink
Embossing powders in detail gold and detail white

I will be live on the Bee Crafty Facebook page at 8pm this evening if you fancy joining me.

Bird Artist Trading Cards

Hi there! Thought I would show you how I made this trio of ATCs for my blog post this week.

I began by smooshing some distress inks onto 3 ATC blanks.

Once these were dry, I used the same inks to add some more ink through the tag inkables
Next I added some stamping to the backgrounds using Journaling essentials 2 and the same shades of distress ink
Setting the backgtrounds to one side I stamped the Birds onto some book paper using brown versafine clair ink.
I added a little shading using a brown colouring pencil
I stuck these birds to the backgrounds using Matte Medium. As the Kingfisher was too large to fit I cut off the tail
Once dry, I added sentiments from the same stamp sets
Finally I added a splatter or two of Tarnished Brass Distress stain.
Here are the finished ATCs again.
I used:
ATC blanks (Cards measuring 2.5x3.5 inches)
Distress inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Wild Honey and Gathered Twigs
Book paper
Brown colouring pencil

I will leave you with a photo of the Journal page I created during my live last Wednesday, also using the Rainbow Birds stamp set along with Mixed messages 4 and Journaling essentials 1

New Crafty Individuals Stamps part one

 Hi There!

Did you see Jean Hardy  on Create and Craft on Friday 1st April? There were some new stamps and papers as well as some older stamps and greyboard too. Jean's demos were wonderful as always. I thought I would share my samples in several posts over this week. Todays are the new butterflies.

My lolly stick plaque also has a sentiment from Chocolate Baroque.
The new papers feature on this sample too.
Here is a journal page using an older stamp in the background and the new butterflies as focal points.
As well as these samples I made some ATCs for a facebook live on Wednesday
You can find the Video from the live here
During the Live we decided to have a Crafty Individuals ATC swap. If you would like to join in here is a link to the swap in the Facebook group

All of the new stamps, papers and greyboard can be found here on the website
