Three little flowers

Hi There! I am here with a very simple card for you today, but perfect for our theme over in the Bee Crafty Stamps Facebook Group Challenge (where the theme is 3).

I began by blending 3 shades of distress oxide inks through the mandala inkable, top left and bottom right on a 6x6 white card.
Next I cut out 3 x 4cm squares of coordinating plain paper and stuck them down the middle of the card with matte medium.
On a piece of vellum/ parchment paper, I stamped one of the flowers from journaling Essentials #4. I stamped it three times and white embossed them.
I cut out the flowers and shaped a little with a ball tool before attaching to the card using foam pads.
Next I stamped the dotty line border around the corners top right and bottom left using one of the inks.
I then stamped the sentiment on a scrap of card using one of the inks.
Finally I added the sentiment to the card using more foam pads.

I used:
6x6 white card
Distress oxide inks - I used Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet
Vellum/ Parchment paper
Versamark ink pad
Coordinating paper cut into 4cm squares
foam pads

Hope you like it! I also hope you can join us for our challenge.

Home Note Card

Hi There! Thought I would show you how I made this card today.

I began by stamping sky terrace on to an A6 piece of greyscale catalyst card.
Next I tore some strips of coloured catalyst card to make the hills. I chose 3 which contrasted in colour, playing with them until I was happy with the arrangement.

on another piece of coloured catalyst card I painted a thin layer of gesso to make the colours a bit less vibrant.
I blended a little mermaid lagoon ink onto the gessoed card too.
After sponging a little walnut stain Distress oxide around the edges of each layer, I began to stick them together using matte medium. I tucked the edge of the house into the last layer.
I attached the papers to the front of a 6x4" white card and added the Home sticker from the Winter wordy stickers.
Here is the finished card again.
I used:
A6 Catalyst cards #1 Greyscale and full colour
Distress Oxide ink - Mermaid lagoon and Walnut Stain

Thank you so much for looking!

A pair of vivid dragonfly cards

Hi There! I am here with a pair of cards to show you today. I've left sentiments for the inside because I fell in love with the background. Let me show you how I made them.

I found a piece of watercolour card that was 10cm x 20cm. I blended peacock feathers, twisted Citron, carved pumpkin and Wilted violet distress oxide inks across it (I know, its a bit dangerous putting purple and orange together. I'd intended putting the peacock feathers next to the wilted violet, but I messed up the order, lol)
Next, I sprayed the big one Bakewell inkable with water and laid it over the top. After about 30 seconds I lifted it off carefully and dried it with the heat tool. I didn't blot it because I wanted the colours to mix a little. This piece was then cut in half, making 2x 10cm square backgrounds.
Using the same colours of oxide inks I used some of the smaller stamps from journaling essentials #2 to add to the background, before placing this on one side.
I stamped the Doodle art dragonfly twice in Memento ink and coloured with alcohol markers before cutting them out. I also painted on a little distress spritz to add sparkle.
I splashed a little more distress spritz to the backgrounds before matting and layering onto 13cm square cards. Finally I added the dragonflies using matte medium
I love them both! I can see I will be using that background technique lots more lol.

I used:
Distress Oxide inks in Carved Pumpkin, Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers
Distress Spritz in Spiced Marmalade Wilted Violet and Worn Lipstick
Memento ink - Tuxedo black
Alcohol markers
2x 13cm square cards
2x 10cm square pieces of watercolour card
Black paper for matting and layering.

I hope you like my project today! Don't forget we have the Bee Crafty stamps facebook group challenge, where the theme is winter/ Christmas. I hope to see your entries there soon!

Grungy flower card

Hi There! Thought I would show you how I made this card.

I began by smooshing a piece of watercolour paper with Distress oxide inks.
Next I rubbed a little microglaze through the tag inkable before spraying with Walnut stain Distress Spritz before leaving it to dry.
Using the Background script stamp without putting it onto a block, I added some patches of stamping in Tea Dye Distress oxide.
On another piece of card I stamped the flower from Journaling essentials #8 3 times and coloured it in, cutting it out to layer it up.
I used more stamps from this set to add to the background, before matting and layering it onto a card base
I also stamped some of the leaves from Journaling essentials #3 onto a scrap of smooshed card.
On a scrap of dark brown card, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in white, before adding all the elements to the card base using either foam pads or matte medium.

Here is the finished card again.
I used:
Distress oxide inks in dried Marigold, Cracked Pistachio and tea Dye
Distress Micro glaze
Distress Spritz in Walnut stain
Versamark ink
Cream A5 card
Watercolour card 6x4"
Dark brown card for matting and layering and the sentiment

Wear Your Best Smile Card

Hi There! I am here with a step by step for this super quick and simple card today.

I began by cutting the catalyst card to fit a 6x6 card, sponging a little brown ink around the edge
Next I cut out the leaf transparency, but not too close to the image
On a scrap of card I stamped the flower from Journaling Essentials #8 twice using versafine ink. I coloured them and cut them out, creating a smaller layer.
I layered it up and attached the transparency and the flower to the card using matte medium.
Finally, I added a transparency sentiment to finish it off.
I used:

Coloured pencils

New Stamps!

Hi There! Did you see the new stamps from bee crafty that were launched yesterday? Here are my samples...

For this I used 3 colours of distress oxide ink - Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed. The flowers were coloured with alcohol markers.
This mandala stamp fits perfectly in the centre of the mandala inkable. This was Tea dye, Fossilised Amber and Peeled Paint Distress ink.
I stamped in Versamark ink and brushed using Mica  powders on the left and Embossed the Moonflower stamp in silver on the right hand page before painting with metallic paint.
The background stamp was inked with Mustard seed, Spiced marmalade and Picked Raspberry Distress ink. The flower was coloured with Alcohol Markers.

The journal page was sprayed with Dylusions sprays and Distress spritz. The flowers were coloured with alcohol markers
The background on this card was inked with Distress oxide inks. I used a tag inkable from set one and a wordy sticker
Finally here's my card from my Facebook live yesterday. I really enjoyed making it.

I will be back playing with the new stamps tonight at 8pm over on the Facebook page
Hope you can join me! Thanks for looking!

Things with wings

Hi There! Thought I would show you how I made this card today. The theme for our Challenge over in the Bee Crafty Stamps group on facebook is 'things with wings' so this card is a little inspiration for you.
I began by blending distress inks around the left and lower edges of a 14cm square piece of smooth card.

Next I used the Blueprint sketch ink through a dinkable, leaving a little white space.
I stamped the dragonfly in Black Versafine Clair ink and watercoloured it.
Using the gellyroll moonlight pens, I added a little detail to the dragonfly once dry.
I stamped the ticker tape sentiment in Bali Blue ink on a scrap of white card.
Finally I added the card panel to the front of a white card then added the sentiment and dragonfly using matte medium.
I used:
Distress inks in Peacock Feathers, Wilted violet and Blueprint Sketch
Versafine Clair ink in Nocturne and Bali Blue

I do hope you will be able to join in with the challenge this month!
