Rudolf Day for February

Hi there! It is already 25th February and so it is time for another Rudolf day over at Scrappy Mo's. For my Cards  I made a wintry woodland scene using stamps from Inkylicious over an inky background made by smooshing and washing spectrum Noir sparkle pens over some watercolour paper. I added snow with a white Posca pen. My only regret is stamping the sentiment too close to the top edge!
My second wintry scene was created using a Crafter's Companion 3d embossing folder and rubbing over with a bit of Treasure Brass. The sentiment stamp is from Inkylicious.
We have just has a lovely walk in the woods, but it was a bit nippy, and by all accounts it won't be getting warmer for a few days. Lets hope we can all stay warm and cosy and not have to make snowy journeys.
Do pop over to Mo's blog to see the beautiful inspiration and join in the Rudolf fun if you can!

something beginning with B

The current challenge at Allsorts is something beginning with B. It seemed the ideal opportunity to share this card I made recently. The Bs are the butterflies (stamps from Hobby Art designed by Janie Burnett-Bleach)brown and black inks for stamping the flowers, and the blotchy background made with distress oxides and sprinkled with water.
Half term has flown by and I still haven't ventured into blog land as much as I would have liked. We have however achieved great things in loft sorting, cellar clearing and charity shop visiting! Hope you have had a great week! I will leave you with some photos of ourt recent trip with Megan and Grant to Whyming Brook Nature Reserve, just a short drive from Sheffield.

Thanks for looking!

Steve's Birthday Card

I'm flying in 😉 to show you Steve's Birthday card! Made with Hobby Art Stamps, I stamped onto their watercolour card and coloured the scene with a mix of Zig clean colour markers and Distress inks using a waterbrush. I added a bit of sparkle to the head feathers using a clear spectrum noir sparkle pen and added shine to the beak and eyes with a clear gelly roll glaze pen. The base card was stamped using lucky clover distress oxide ink.
Here in Nottingham, Duck is a term of endearment, and Steve loves ducks, so this set of stamps was a must-have!
Short and sweet from me I'm afraid as I need to get to bed. Looking forward to some crafty time during half term and some time to visit blog land too. Just five more days at work before half term starts.
Thanks for all your lovely comments and I hope you have had a fab weekend x

February at Stamping Sensations

Good morning, It's time for a new challenge at Stamping Sensations and this month we are looking for
********Anything with Flowers********

As the title suggest we would love to see your floral creations. I am sure you will come up with lots of beautiful floral designs.
My Card this month is a beautiful Iris from our lovely sponsor, Bev at Bee Crafty. I coloured the stamp with memento inks in Paris Dusk and Cottage ivy. I then dragged colour and added a little extra with a water brush. I also added a little yellow and orange zig cleancolor marker. The background was stamped (Hobby Art stamps) and dusted with distress inks in bundled sage and tea dye.
Please can We remind you we are a stamping challenge so must see a stamped image as the focal element of your artwork, not just a stamped sentiment or stamping in the background, this means:

Stamping must be the central point of attention and interest

As I mentioned above our sponsor is Bev from Bee Crafty. She is offering the lucky winner £25 worth of gorgeous goodies from the Bee Crafty store! There are gorgeous stamps, stencils, inks and all sorts of other goodies just waiting to fall into your basket! Rather a lot fell into mine, I can tell you! If you didn't see it before here is a card made with more Bee Crafty Stamps that fit the theme. I LOVE that sentiment!

Do pop over to the challenge blog and take a look at the gorgeous designs from all my talented teamies! They really have made some outstanding cards this month!
Thanks for looking!
