Bee Crafty Faces Samples

 Hi there!

Did you see Bev and Sam on The Craft Store last Tuesday? The new stamps are just gorgeous! I loved making my samples and I carried on playing with them in my journal after I'd finished too. Here is a closer look at them all.

The background on this first one was made with Dina Wakely paint and gloss sprays.
This was over a background of Pretty Gets Gritty explosion powders.
My door hanger was stencilled with the Bakewell inkable and Dylusions shimmer paint
This was a very quick single layer card stamped with Distress oxide inks.

This background was another one made with distress oxides and the Botanical gardens big one inkable

I used an old book page, distress oxide sprays and matte medium for this one, stamping in versafine clair
the central panel on this one was smooshed and splattered distress oxides.

This tag is really shimmery as it was painted with dylusions shimmer paint

This was a mixture of dylusions sprays and explosions powders
I coloured this one with my ecoline pens and added some colour around it with Distress oxide inks and the Pearls big one inkable. I love how the hair on this stamp can appear so different depending on how you colour it.
Finally here is my journal page using a shimmer paint including a stencil mop up and collage paper.
You can find the faces stamps on the website. You can choose from
Journal art elements
 Thanks for looking!

Bee Happy!

Hi There! Here is a card I made recently using the Bee Monarchy stamps from Bee Crafty.

Here is what I used:

Bee Monarchy stamps and matching dies

Typewriter Alpha stamps

Tag dies

Ecoline pens Pastel Blue and yellow ochre

Watercolour card

Corrugated kraft card

Distress oxide inks in Wild Honey and Vintage photo

Pretty gets gritty explosion powder in Eros

6x6 Inkable Honeycomb multi

Black ink  - I used versafine clair

Gilding wax

coordinating ribbon

6x6" Kraft card

5.5x5.5" ivory card

I began by stamping and die cutting the bee and the word Bee onto a scrap of  watercolour card.

I also cut a label from the corrugated card

I coloured the bee and added a little gilding wax to the corrugated tag.

I stuck the bee and the word to the tag with sticky pads and added a scrap of coordinating ribbon.
I used a blending brush to apply distress oxide inks through the inkable onto the ivory cardstock

I mixed a little of the explosion powder with water and splattered it across the inked background

I stamped the word Happy, using the Typewriter Alpha onto a die cut tag (not Bee Crafty), layering it on to kraft card.
Finally I matted the background onto the Base card, then attached the tags using sticky pads.

Tomorrow Bev and Sam are on the Craft Store with some wonderful new stamps at 1pm. Here is a little sneaky peek!

 Thanks for looking!

Sparkly Wildflowers

Remember that Sunflower tag I made a couple of weeks ago with the Dylusions shimmer paints? I had sprayed the excess paint on my glass mat with water and mopped it up with a piece of card. I've now made it into a card.

Here is what I used:

Beautanicals - Wildflower 2

Beautanicals  - Wildflower 3

Wordage- Regular Everyday sentiments 1

Inkable Mandala 7

D'inkable Circles

D'inkable Splatter

Mop up card from painting with Dylusions shimmer paint in pure sunshine calypso teal and fresh lime

6 x 6 white card

5 x 5 cardstock

Archival ink in Paradise Teal

Peacock feathers Distress oxide ink

Versamark ink

Copper embossing powder

Heat tool

Dried marigold and Peacock Feathers distress ink

blending brushes/ blending tool/ sponge

Here is the mop up piece that I started with after making the tag a couple of weeks ago

I stamped the wildflower stamps in archival ink along the card.
Next I added some Peacock feathers Distress Oxide ink through the mandala stencil and around the edge.
Once this was dry I stamped the sentiment in versamark and heat embossed with copper embossing powder.

On the base card I used the Distress inks and dinkables to add some colour.

Finally I layered the wildflower panel onto the base card.

It is rather sparkly in real life, even if the photos don't show it so well. Thanks for looking!

Grungy Dragonfly Greetings!

Hi there! I am here with another step by step for a card using the latest Dragonfly stamps from Bee Crafty (I just can't put them down!) It is a bit of a long one, so you might want a cuppa before you start reading!

I thought I would use up some of the tissue paper I had under my spraying when I was using my oxide sprays to create a background.

Here are the other things I used:

Dragonfly stamps and coordinating dies

Coffee stain stamps

Circle easy frame inkable

Splatter D'inkable

Distress collage matte medium

Scraps of torn book paper and music paper

Pretty Gets Gritty explosions powder in Atlas

Dylusions dirty martini spray

Distress oxide spray in Brushed Corduroy

Distress oxide inks in Peacock Feathers and Walnut stain

Fallen leaves Versafine Clair ink

mini mister

6x6 ivory card

Mixed media card

first I started by tearing the tissue, book page and music paper into strips
I stuck it to a 5inch square of mixed media paper with the matte medium. The sprays I'd used were water based so the colour spread a little with the coat of matte medium over it.
once this was dry I added a bit of the explosion powder to the mini mister with some water and sprayed it onto the collaged piece. My thinking was that it would add a little sparkle and I could remind you of the facebook group challenge theme for this month 😉

When it had dried I trimmed the overhang from the edges. Next I placed the innie from the circle stencil over the centre and sprayed with the distress oxide spray
Lift it carefully and you can use this on a blank card like a stamp for another day (everyone loves a twofer!) Both were dried off with a little gentle help from a heat gun.
I used the distress oxides to stamp the coffee stains and numbers around the edges .
Next I used the splatter dinkable and the same inks to add a border to the base card. I also sprayed it with a bit of the left over explosion powder spray.

I layered it with some coordinating card and stuck the collage panel to the card.
I stamped and die cut the largest dragonfly and the circle using the versafine clair ink

I sprayed it using the explosion powder spray and a little dylusions dirty martini spray
then attached both to the base card with 3d glue/ gel medium.
I just love the contrast of the explosion powders sparkle against the lovely chalkiness of the oxide spray. It's quite hard to capture it in the photos.
Thanks for looking and I hope you like it. Apologies if I have missed a few of your posts in blog land recently. Thanks for all the lovely comments x

Dragonfly Samples for Bee Crafty

Hi There! I am here with my samples that were on The Craft Store last Tuesday. The New Dragonfly and Coffee stamps you can find here, along with the dragonfly dies.

For the first I created a background with Distress oxide sprays.
This one was made with collage medium and distress oxide sprays
More Distress oxide sprays and inks on this one too!
I used distress embossing glaze on the coffee stains for this one.
The lace from the Dragonfly art set makes a lovely border
This background was made with Explosion powders and clingfilm.
More distress oxide sprays...
Pretty Gets Gritty explosion powders just sprayed with water on this one with the dragonfly Art stamp
My mini journal was decorated with Dina Wakely gloss sprays on the corrugated card and Distress oxides on the rest
The lolly stick plaque was painted with tester pots and crackle glaze before being stamped with distress oxide inks and collaged.
the mdf Jar, mdf journal and mdf pop outs were painted in gesso and then sprinkled and sprayed with Explosion powders for the jar and Distress oxide sprays for the journal.
