I'm back! Meg and I have spent the last three days in Scotland with Lynne. The Scenery is breathtaking and although it was a little bracing at times we got out for a walk every day. Here are a few photos.
Lichen encrusted tree trunks,
A male bullfinch,
A red squirrel (his ear tufts are being blown flat in the wind!)
Another red squirrel, who loves to pose for the cameras,
A lovely sunset over the river,

Ooh, lucky you! Love those squirrels. It's a long time since I was in Scotland but I remember how beautiful it was. Glad you managed to get out every day and it looks as if it was worth it! Nature's amazing x
Fantastic photos, lovely to see a red squirrel.

Fresh air and wildlife what more can you want. Oh well yes there is that list but fresh air and wildlife are in a category of their own. Wonderful photographs XOXO Zoe

I'm glad you had a lovely few days away with Lynne, Sally. I thought about you driving up on Tuesday but thankfully the bad weather seemed to arrive Wednesday. It looks like you missed it up there.
Love the trees, very atmospheric.
Hope you have a lovely Easter.
Hugs Lisax

Your photos are delightful - the final one is just a wonder & they're not that easy to photograph! Your posing squirrel reminds me of the Scandinavian red squirrels that used to sit on my Grandfather's shoulder in Sweden.
Have a lovely Easter.

Fab photos - glad you had a nice time!
I love the tree and the sunset, that's exactly the kind of picture I would take as well. But my favorite is the red squirrel - such a cutie. Here we only have grey squirrels - they come into my garden and munch on the peanuts (and also steal from the birdfeeders,of course) and are quite a sassy bunch, but endearing at the same time. I love to watch them chasing each other.
Looks as though you had a wonderful time Sally. Fabulous photos. Happy Easter.
