Rudolf day for September or Santa Real Estate!

Hi there! It is Rudolf day for September over at Scrappy Mo's and I have 3 cards to share with you this month. I think I have now caught up on not entering in July! The first two cards are both using Inkylicious stamps. The cottage stamp is called Winter Lodge. I stamped it in Memento Espresso Truffle and coloured with promarkers. I added glitter and a sentiment stamped in Memento Nautical Blue.
The same goes for my second card, but I used some fluffy puffy stuff to make the snow - not very effectively, though! I added snow drifts and sky shading with my ink dusters and mountain valley stencil.
My third cottage is a Chocolate Baroque stamp. I stamped it in Adirondack Stream onto watercolour paper and used a water brush to add shading. Once it was dry I added lots of stickles. The stamp I used in the sky is an Inkylicious Christmas tree and the sentiment is a very old one from Stamporium, that I seem to use every year.
Meg was happily settled in her new home last weekend and has spent the week finding out about what is on offer at the university. She has joined a couple of martial arts clubs - Judo and jiu-jitsu, hoping to find something to complement her Karate. The house seemed very empty for a couple of days, but I am coping, lol! I am suffering with the first of the seasons colds, a sinus based thing that makes me look very seasonal - I could give Rudolf a run for his money with this glowing nose! Thanks for looking!

Three lovely cards, but the first one rally stands out for me. I prefer the glitter to the 'puffy' snow. I like your snow shadows. I must dig out my mountain-valley stencil. Thanks for that tip. Hope the colds don't take hold and you all feel better soon. Kate x

You've pointed out in the past that we have the same tastes Sally, I bought the Winter Lodge stamp at the weekend at Ally Pally and of course I have the wonderful Chocolate Baroque stamp too. I love them all, especially the top one.

Fab cards Sally! You've made a better job with that puffy stuff than I have in the past. The Inkylicious cottage looks like the perfect Christmas retreat.

I'm glad Megan is settling in well at Uni. Don't get too used to the empty space.....They have a tendency to keep coming back I found ;-)

Hugs

Gorgeous cards Sally, I love the Winter Lodge stamp, another for my wish list!. Your snowdrifts look amazing and the Christmas Greetings stamp is lovely too. I also like the way you used the tree stamp to make an edging on the last card.
I hope your cold soon gets better.

A trio of fabulous cards! That Winter Lodge image is so pretty. I liek the two different ways you made the snow. I am always on the lookout for good ideas.
The more snow the better!

The third looks wonderful. A nice effect with the monochromatic colouring.

Hope you are feeling better from your cold. Such a drag to be ill and no fun to feel under the weather.

Thanks for taking part in the September Rudolph Days Challenge.

All three of your cards are very pretty, but I am blown away by that flourishy sky you put on the all-blue one. Super creative use of a stamp!

I love your cards Sally, especially the first two. I just can't resist Inkylicious stamps. I've just bought the winter log cabin stamp but I haven't had a play with it yet. The snow effect on the roof tops looks fabulous. I was pleased to read that Meg's settled in well at Uni. x

Zipped over from Rudolph Day, to enjoy 2 beauties. #1 looks like a very old fashioned Christmas, and love the serenity of this scene, with all the texture of that sparkling snow. The shadows on the snowhills look so very real. Picture perfect, as they say. #2 is equally lovely, and such a wonderful shade of blue for this image. Like the swirl design in the corners and the dimension of the trimmings on the tree. Wouldn't you just love to live in this house at Christmas time? TFS & Hugs

I love your snowy houses and the snow scenes with them. Now can you please tell me where the month went as I'm sure I only did a Rudolph card the other day. Doesn't time fly when your having fun. If I see another Elf I'm emigrating. hugs Mrs A.

I do like the first card best although I also like the "heavy snow" in the second card. That lodge looks like hot chocolate, cookies and mulled wine. A fire lit in the fireplace and cozy socks on my feet. Ahhh....
