Confession time... You know how I tried to go craft shopping yesterday and it was shut? Well I had ordered myself a box of 24 Coloursoft pencils that arrived yesterday, and instead of putting them away for my birthday I came home, opened them and started using them. I know, it's bad isn't it? I've had the odourless alcohol and the paper stumps for ages and my will power was very poor! Anyway, confession over, I put them to very good use and made this Easter card using an image by my good friend Teri of Delicious Doodles. Isn't it sweet? The gingham papers were from Funky fairies and the daisy paper was from a Papermania pad. I'm entering it into two challenges - Rosie D's where the theme is Yellow, green and white, and Dare U2 Digistamp where the theme is Easter.
My second card was also coloured with the Coloursoft pencils and blended in the same way. The main image is a Stampourium stamp (no longer available) and the background is stamped with my Art Impressions serpentine background. I added diamond glaze and stickles to highlight. I love these pencils and for a first go I'm so pleased with the results! I can see they are going to get lots of use.
I hope you have all signed up to follow the Sir Stampalot Challenge Blog. Only 3 more days before the first challenge is launched and the last chance candy is drawn.
Thanks for looking!

These are both just gorgeous Sally and you might have been naughty but it was worth it!
You're lucky to live near Once Upon A Stamp. I absolutely adore Rob and love watching his demos as he's so creative. I know him from my days of demoing myself but haven't seen him for a while as he hasn't been at Ally Pally-just Gordon.
Are you going to Ally Pally? I'm hoping to go with my hubby's cousin Caroline who demos for Wendy of Stamps & Memories but it will be the Sunday.
xx
I love both these creations, the duck and duckling is really cute though, nice colouring.
Happy crafting

Tut tut! Just what I'd have done though! Of course you had to open them so you could make such a lovely Easter card, and the one with dragonflies. Beautiful. x
Hi Sally
You definately needed to use those pensils immediately because just look at the fantastic results.
I had some Prismacolour pencils from Janice a couple of weeks ago, bot sure if they are similar to what you ahve, but really nice to use, espeically for a soft subtle finish.
Thanks for joining my theme at Rosie D's.

Beautiful cards Sally - I can absolutely understand you getting those pencils out of the box when you got home - bet your fingers had been itching for days!! Your colouring is beautiful, and thanks for joining in at Dare You to Digi this week.

Hello you Naughty Girl
not really we have to have these things! you have done a fab job with them, I adore mine ,I love the duck card the most but they are both amazing.
hugs chris xx
You naughty girl, Lol! But then it was really Robert's fault 'cos he decided to take 3 days off while Gordon was at the NEC so he could get some jobs and catching up done at home. I know because I went over there this afternoon.
The cards are really lovely Sally. I love the ducks especially. If it's any ease to your conscience, I doubt there are many crafters who could have put the new pencils away. I know I couldn't.
Hugs
