My Boss is sixty next week!

My boss is sixty next week. Since September she has been talking about retiring and this week she has announced that she will be going in July. It all seems to be happening at once! I made her this card for next week and I'd better get my thinking cap on for July! The fabulous tree stamp is called fantasy and is by Penny Black. I used my round the page punch from Martha Stewart and the Art Impressions swirls. There is a fairly large 60 today on the inside of this 8x8 card, as she wasn't keen on everyone knowing!!!
I took my inspiration from Sylvia's beautiful card. I'm a bit jealous though, as her embossing powder looks a lot more silvery than mine! I've just thrown away two pots of embossing powders that seem to have 'gone off'. They had lost their lustre and looked like I'd over-heated them. I tried several times and was beginning to think I'd lost the knack! Thanks for looking!

Hi Sally this is one beauty of a card your boss will love it. That tree is spectacular I love how you have placed just a few gems on it and your embossing is great. I wondered if embossing powders 'went off' as I have had some for several years now so maybe they have lol.

This is beautiful Sally and your boss can't fail to love it. That round the page punch looks lovely. Good job I like it 'cos I bought it a few weeks ago too but haven't had chance to use it yet.

Someone (can't remember who) told me EPs have about a 2 year shelf life! I hope it's a lot longer than that because I've had some of mine getting on for four years now. So far they seem to be okay.

Hi Sally

Gosh I seem to have a bit of catching up to do this week, don't know where the time has gone.
First things first, Congrats on the Sir Stampalot DT, there's no stopping you now!! Can't wait to see what you produce.
I spotted your lovely tag over at TT, couldn't help but know it's yours with that lovely leaf swirl. Just gorgeous.
Your tree card is great too. I love that tree stamp and that MS punch is on my wish list, it really is stunning.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
