Holiday? What holiday?

I've been back at work a week, and it feels like about 4! I won't bore you with the details, but it has been ridiculously busy. Tomorrow (actually, later on today!) Meg is singing a solo in this years Science on stage production at the Royal concert Hall in Nottingham, so there have been a couple of rehearsals for that this week too. I'll need the tissues again no doubt - thank goodness it's dark in there! Today was her birthday, so it's safe to post her birthday card now, not that I'd finished it in time to post it on an earlier day!
I was so indecisive and didn't know which image to use, so I used this on the front...
this in the middle...
and this is what it looks like from above. I was going to do step cards and gate folds and all sorts, but it all went wrong.  I was quickly running out of sheets of purple card, so opted for this. The Guitarist image is from Sassy Studios. The young writer is from Digital Pencil Too (Mo Manning) and both are coloured with promarkers.
With the pressure of tomorrow Meg has sensibly opted to wait until next week to celebrate with friends, bless her. Where did the last 13 years go?!

Wow! Fabulous card Sally and Megan must really love it.
Know what you mean about time flying as my 2 are now 19 and 21 and sometimes it only seems like yesterday that they were toddlers.

Give Meg a happy birthday kiss from me xxx Your card is wonderful, I especially love that middle image of the writing teen. Could I commission a purple card with that image for Nicole's birthday? She would really love it :)

Great way to use both images when you can't decide, lol. Love it. Hope this afternoon went well, though I'm sure it will have. You must be very proud. Can't believe she's so grown up enough to choose to celebrate her birthday the week after! Great kid :)

Hi Sally, what a brilliant card for your daughter! I love it and I bet she did too. Did you use the whole box of tissues, Lol ?!?

Sorry I've been missing but I had two weekends away and visitors in between so it's taken me all day today to catch up.

Happy Birthday to Meg, Happy Birthday to Meg!!! sorry I'll stop singing now, not pretty.
Your card is gorgeous, I'm sure she'll love it.
I hope the concert went well, you have every right to be a very proud Mum. I'm sure Meg was a star, where do they get their confidence from, I know at 13 I could never have done anything like that, I couldn't now!!
I hope she enjoys all her birthday celebrations and don't you work too hard.
