Embossing at Allsorts

here is my entry for this week's Allsorts challenge where the theme is Embossing. I embossed the base card with the Cuttlebug paisley embossing folder and a border to fill the gap at the bottom. I then stamped the leaf (Hero arts) Four times in versafine Olympia green, cut out and used sticky pads to lift it up a little. The flower (Crafty Notions) was stamped and coloured with Derwent aquatone pencils before spraying with Creative colour spray (Crafty Notions).
here is a close up of the flower. It is a very simple and quick card, but it has been a hectic week, so I haven't had time for much! Roll on the summer hols and thanks for looking!

Hi Sally.

This is a very striking card. I love the bright blue of the flower against the white.

It may be simple, but it's really beautiful, Sally. I love the colour of that flower too.
Not long until the Summer hols now, lets hope the weather lasts.
Have a great weekend.

Ooo yummy! I always forget about my cuttlebug and don't use it much - I know I ought to get it out more if this is what you can achieve.
Really elegant card this.

It might be simple but just goes to show that sometimes simple is best.
This is a really elegant card and the embossing sets off the pretty flower perfectly.
Hope you have a good weekend. xx

Great embossing Sally and love how you used a border to fill the gap. Thats the most annoying thing about those folders, just too small!

Simply elegant card Sally - the embossed border is a stroke of genius! Love the colour of the flower - the white background shows it off to perfection.
