Scrap Sunday and an award

Last week I got a bit carried away with my scrap Sunday project, as inspired by Jules. I found some little offcuts of spritzed and sprayed paper and decided to weave it. It was very fiddly and time consuming and took longer than I'd intended! I added a couple of roses and some leaves punched from the same scraps of paper.  What do you think? I'm not sure! My scrap project for this week is much more to my liking. I went for a sepia tones for this one.
The main stamp is a very old Stampourium one stamped onto watercolour paper using Walnut Ink DI with a hint of wild honey DI in the colouring of it.

Finally I would like to say a huge thank you to Kay Carley who gave me this award. This one is REALLY special as not only has it come from an amazingly inspirational crafter, but the winners get to qualify for a free digi stamp from Digi's With Attitude!  How cool is that?

In order to qualify for your $5.00 Digi's With Attitude! Gift Certificate you must state 3 things that make you different from everybody else and nominate 5 blogs. Lastly you need to display the Blog Award Badge (above) in your sidebar and link it back to the Digi's With Attitude! Challenge Blog.
So, here are my three things:
      1. I LOVE spiders, but am afraid of bees and wasps
      2. I drink my coffee black with sugar but my tea white without
      3. I have been known to appear as Freddy Mercury and Jon Bon Jovi at the school talent show!
I now need to pass this on to 5 people, although I could choose so many more! Here they are:
1. Lynne
2. Lisa
3. Chris
4. Brenda
5. Jules
Thanks for popping by x

Hi Sal

Wow .. .. what lovely makes.

I can imagine that the weaving took for ever .. .. I tried it once (and that was enough) LOL!!! I could have made a whole card in the time it took me just to do the weaving LOL!!!

I do love the colours you have used and the roses set everything off beautifully. (Sorry it used up so much of your time!!).

Your second make is lovely too. Love how you have trimmed your image.

Again gorgeous colours and I know why you feel more comfortable with this one .. .. the colours tone in with your blog background so they are more "your colours".

Thank you for the award Sal. Lovely of you to think of me. I am very naughty though and never pass them on .. .. so if you want to take it back and allocate it elsewheree I understand.

I hope you like the look of my Sunday Scrap projects later.

Love Jules xx

Wow! Both cards are stunning! The first one reminds me of a basket my mum used to have, with flowers on the side. Your card is well worth the effort!

Congratulations on the award, as you say, very special. And thanks very much for passing it on! I'll now try and do the same. xx

WOW - these 2 cards are both lovely, but I particularly like the colours and layout of the 2nd one. GORGEOUS stamp too!

I love both these cards Sally. The bright colours of the first one against the black is lovely and makes for a wonderfully cheerful 'feelgood' card.

I must admit I usually go for the muted tones but I sometimes think it's because I'm a bit afraid of messing up with the bright ones. You've done a perfect job here.

Your second card is really classy. I thought the image was Magenta at first but it's really nice with the swirly leaves. I like all the texture you've achieved with the background papers too.

Well done on the awards. It couldn't be more well deserved.

Hugs
