Weekly Blogging

Well, there was I thinking things would slow down once I'd done my reports, but I was mistaken. I don't know why it always takes me by surprise, but I can see I might only manage weekly blogging for a couple of weeks as there is so much going on. It isn't like I haven't done any crafting, but getting to post it here is a bit hit and miss. Anyway, here are a few things I've been up to. First is an 8x8 card I made for a friend who's dad turns seventy next week.
He likes music, travelling, reading, walking and red wine, so I used an Inkylicious music background stamp, lots of hobby Art stamps, The luggage label is a clear choice stamp and the boots are from an aspects of design sheet from the Stampman. I watercoloured the lot with distress inks.
My next card is for our assistant site manager who has been doing lots of gardening with the children. This stamp (Personal Impressions) is one I haven't used for a while. The little images around the border are all various See -Dee's collections.

Finally I decided to try a new recipe today - Lime and coconut muffins topped with cream cheese frosting - very tasty, particularly whilst sat in the garden!
We have had a very productive day today with hedge-cutting, baking, marking, and card making too!

Oooh that cupcake looks delicious Sally. I've just eaten a lime and coconut yoghurt and that was scrummy too.

Love your cards. You are so clever with these little scenes and I'm sure the chap who has been gardening with the children will really appreciate such a thoughtful card. I really like the embossed lines on the mats for the birthday card. It makes them look as though they're in tiny wooden frames.

Fab cards Sally! I always think cards that are personally tailored to an individual are the most treasured. That cupcake looks delicious and I know from experience that cream cheese frosting is divine! Vx

Fabulous cards Sally. Love the style and colouring.
That cake looks really scrummy and the flavour sounds very inventive. Will have to investigate as we're muffin fans here.
Hope the work settles down soon.

Goodness, Sally you have been busy in this heat. You make me feel quite worn out!!
Both your cards are gorgeous. I love how you've made them so personal. I'm sure the recipents will be thrilled with them.
Lime and coconut sounds a delicious combination. I bet your neighbours sit with their mouths watering with the delicious smells that nust waft over your fence.
