It has been one of those weeks at work, which has led to my craft space getting overcrowded and mistakes and spillages a plenty. First of all I have managed a Less is More entry where the theme is Bling. I dug out an ancient Stamporium stamp, embossed in silver sparkle and painted the holly leaves with bleach. I added some red gems and then decided the leaves needed a bit of sparkle too and added diamond stickles. Not my best, I'm afraid.
Last week the theme was silhouettes and I was really trying to join in. Unfortunately I got some really bad ink smudges on the one layer card I had made. I tried to get rid of them with bleach, but the colour of the base card was affected, so I gave up and put it to one side. Suddenly yesterday I had a brain wave and found the Parisienne borderability I had bought but not yet used. I was quite impressed with how well it covered up the mistakes!
I used ink dusters, dusty concord, wild honey and black soot distress inks, and tree stamps from the Inkylicious Winter's tale plate. Thanks for looking. I am hoping to visit a few more LIMettes this week, but with School Panto week rapidly approaching I may well not get the chance!

Two gorgeous cards, love the pretty holly wreath, and the scene on your second card, it's so peaceful.
Two beautiful cards Sally! I love the border you've used to rescue your silhouette card!

These are both lovely Sally, but I really like your Winters scene x
Ooh, Stamporium! How I miss Sue and her stand at Port Sunny! A real blast from the past. It's pretty, Sally but your silhouettes are gorgeous. Love it. Try not to work too hard and to stay calm - not long to go now... x
2 gorgeous cards Sally but I love the winter scene you created, absolutely beautiful. Amazing how we come up with ways of covering up our mistakes hence my robin this week:) Good luck with the panto.

Two great cards Sally-I like the bling on the first one, and brilliant save on the second, looks like it was meant to be.

These are both lovely Sally. That's a really pretty stamp on the first card and you've 'blinged it' perfectly without overdoing it. However, I have to say the second card is just gorgeous. No one would ever dream you nearly discarded it, in fact the thought of you doing that would be really sad. Instead, we got to see this really elegant card with such a wonderfully calming scene.

Hi Sally,
Love both of these cards. Love the sparkliness of the first one and the scene on the second one is really gorgeous - such a beautiful and peaceful scene and such a fab save using the black borders.

Two great cards, well done on rescuing your silhouette. Carol x
Well done at rescuing your card, Sal, those borders look great to edge your beautiful scene. I know when I've tried doing these panels I always end up with smudges aplenty before I get a good one.
Your first card looks so Christmssy, I love the red jewels.
Hope all is good with you.
