Steve's birthday and a waltzing Mouse sketch

Today is my lovely Hubby's birthday, so we have just been out for lunch. Here is the card I made for him using a Sheena Stamp.
The papers are from a K & Co 6x6 pad kindly given to me by my lovely friend Milena. The fern leaves are hiding where I accidentally dropped the ink pad on the card! I coloured the image with distress inks.
My next card is a little fussy for my taste, but it may well be a wedding anniversary card for my nephew.
I had been experimenting stamping patterns with waltzing mouse stamps and distress inks (Victorian Velvet and bundled sage) I decided to use it for the front of a card when I saw this week's Waltzing Mouse sketch.

All stamps are from Waltzing Mouse except the heart which was from Crafty Individuals.
Well, thanks for looking and I hope to see you again soon.

What a beautiful pattern you created, Sally! I just love the intersecting circles with the hearts...so perfectly-stamped! Your color scheme and the fussy cut lace edge are so gorgeous! So glad you could play along with the WMSC this week...can't wait to see what your NEXT experiment is :)!

I hope Steve had a very Happy Birthday. Aren't you good treating him to lunch out, it sounds perfect.
The card you made for him is absolutely gorgeous and I love the second one, those colours work perfectly together. Bundled sage has to be my fav DI at the minute.
Thanks so much for my STUNNING card, what a work of art. I shall frame it, it deserves wall space!!
Hope you are having a good Monday.

Two lovely cards Sally but the first is my favourite. What a gorgeous scene - couldn't you just imagine settling down for a picnic there?! I completely ruined a card today by dropping a slice of pizza on it! But have I learned my lesson...?! Hope you had a lovely lunch with your hubby. Vicky x

Belated Happy Birthday to Steve from me! I bet he loved his card and I think the ferns are an inspired idea. No one would guess they were a cover up!

I absolutely love the second card. The colours are gorgeous and so are those stamps and your stamping is perfect. It has a shabby chic look to it and is very pretty. I must check out those stamps again!

Wow what smash in cards Love the scene you did for Steve's card, maybe I'm a pink girl at heart because I just love your heart card! Mind if I pinch the idea with the label? That's a great way to use it!
