A little experiment

After a couple of frosty mornings recently, I thought I would have a go at trying to recreate some frosty seed heads like this.
I got out my Inkylicious stamps (Create a Collage Meadow and Wild Meadow), Ink Dusters and inks and came up with this.
I used a range of Adirondack and Distress inks, kaleidoscope embossing powder, white gel pen and some post it masks. I am not sure if it looks frosty at all, but just to show you the effect of the embossing powder, here is a close-up.
We had a lovely walk in Wollaton Park this morning, and the Autumn colours are still at their best. I love the quality of the light at this time of year, when the sun is shining. I feel a few more tree cards coming on! Thanks for looking!

Super effect, Sally - love it. You've managed to achieve a pretty cool effect there. Oh and guess what - I already had the Cumulus stamp - duh! Had a feeling I might have but couldn't find it, then realised it was in a tray I'd forgotten all about. I'll be watching Kevin's video soon... xxx

As seems to be the norm Sally and late arriving again.

I think you've created a perfect frosty feel and by using the soft muted inks it all adds to the cold atmosphere of your card.

Hands up to more trees, but I did make a full confession to you on my blog Saturday. All I need to do now is find time to actually use them, I don't know where my time is going just lately.

I'm just managing to catch up with you, Sally and I've really enjoyed looking at all you've been creating. I love your art work. These grasses are so gorgeous with their frosty touch. I have these stamps too but don't use them enough.
