My Gelli plate has arrived!

About a week ago, my good friend Lynne told me I needed a Gelli plate. I had heard mention of them but I wasn't sure what they were, so I took a look at the website, and within half an hour I'd ordered one (from here in the UK). To cut a long story short it arrived on Friday and I have spent several hours playing today! Lets see what you think - you can click on the picture and zoom in for a closer look.

Okay, so I went a bit over the top, and this is only 7 of the twenty two pages I did (most I double sided too!). These are the better ones - the first few were a bit dull, but I'm having so much fun!!! If you want to find out about the gelli plate check out their website.

I have made a couple of cards with one of the pages already. I used some pearlised paint so there was a bit of reflection from the lights this evening.

All paints are cheap ones (Wilkos own brand and pearlised from docrafts). I used a stamp from Stamp to your Arts Content, which was stamped onto the gelli plate and then stamped in Adirondack stream over the paper once it was dry. All dies are spellbinders Decorative labels 1. Thanks for looking and taking the time to leave a comment.

These are brilliant, Sally! Much better than my first attempts! Gorgeous cards too. I haven't made any cards with mine yet, but that's next on my to-do list! Should have warned you it's addictive! x

Ooh, you're well away with this aren't you Sally. I have to be honest and say although I've seen lots of people playing with the Gelli plates in blog land and I even watched an Andy Skinner video the other day they just haven't grabbed me at all until I saw your samples today. No false flattery here Sally but yours have to be the nicest samples I've seen so far and the only ones I would have any interest in trying to emulate. The two final cards you made are lovely and I like all the colours you have used throughout. Very impressive so far and look forward to seeing what else you might come up with my friend.

I've heard of this - now I'm totally intrigued so will go & have a look. I must admit the first card you created really caught my eye with the way you'd sponged soft pink around the sentiment die-cut picking of the little hint of pink in your background. Lovely design work.

My head was in such a spin: I should have written image die-cut with the leaf not sentiment die-cut....

Oh wow, Sally, your prints are gorgeous. I saw Lynne had invested in a plate and have been thinking about it myself. After having seen your results, I definitely think i need one now. They make stunning backgrounds.
Not so cold here today and some sun too!!
Hope you are having a good weekend.
