Something Feminine at Allsorts

The challenge at Allsorts this fortnight is to make something feminine and as I have just finished this card for a neighbour's sister, I thought it would be ideal to share. The flowers are the cherry blossom stamp set from Honey Doo, coloured with zig clean color brush markers. I added glitter glue and liquid pearls to the centres. The scrabble letters are a very old stamp set from Stamporium (possibly 20 years old and no longer available). The distress oxide background was stamped with a swirly leaf stamp from Inkylicious in tea dye distress ink.

Rudolf Day for August

It is 25th August so time for another Rudolf Day over at Scrappy Mo's. Two posts in two days... I haven't done that in a while!  I've opted for CAS, single layer and Humorous this month. I love Brussel Sprouts, but they aren't so popular with some members of the family, so I think these characters are going to be a hit.
The stamps are from Hobby Art, and were stamped straight on to the base card and coloured with zig clean colour markers.
I added a bit of glitter glue, diamond glaze and sponged a bit of ink around the edges. Very quick and simple, so I think there may be more to come with some of the other characters in the set!

Thanks for looking and for all your lovely comments. Do pop over to Mo's blog and take a look at the Christmas card inspiration.

Something Masculine for Penny Black and More

Here is a card I made using Hobby Art Scene-it stamps inspired by our recent holiday in North Yorkshire. I might add a pair of walking boots in the left corner later, if I can find the stamp! I thought it would fit the current Masculine' theme at Penny Black and More. I watercoloured it with zig clean colour markers and added a few spots of gel pen on the grass and wildflowers. The base card was stamped with Hobby Art leaves in memento desert Sand and gently sponged with distress oxides.
Here are a few photos from our holiday...

 Whitby,
 Mount Grace Priory
 Nunnington Hall,
Steve found his long lost brother in the gardens 😂
 Helmsley Walled Garden
 Byland Abbey
 and Sutton Bank.
Hope you enjoyed a little bit of North Yorkshire! We stayed in a little cottage with no internet and no signal, but there were otters in the river that ran through the garden and we saw 2 or 3 kingfishers and a hedgehog every day! The otters and the kingfishers evaded my camera, but Mr Tiggywinkle was very obliging!

Mid month Wings inspiration for Stamping Sensations

Here is my mid month inspiration for Stamping Sensations where the theme is 'Things with wings'. The stamp and stencils are from Bee Crafty. The sentiment and mini label are very old stamps from Stamporium and the splatters around the edge of the focal image are an Inkylicious twinchie stamp. I stencilled the base card with oxide inks in spiced marmalade and worn lipstick, adding a bit of colour to the swallow with Arteza brush pens.

dragonflies

Here is another lolly stick plaque, painted with Acrylic paints and stamped with Hobby art stamps. I used memento inks to stamp this one and added a few drops of liquid pearls. I also used Glossy Accents on the wings of the dragonflies.

Beside the Sea...

Back in June I made my Dad's Father's Day card with the Hobby Art Stamp sets called Water's Edge and Shore Scenes. I used the Inkylicious waves stamp for the water. More recently I used the same stamp sets to create another scene for my Pearl Wedding Anniversary card for Steve.
These stamps are so beautiful! I think I might be playing with them some more soon. Both cards used a panel of silk art card for the scene and then the bird was coloured with Zig Clean colour markers on watercolour paper, cut out and stuck on with 3d glue.

New Woodware stamps

I bought these Francoise Read Woodware stamps a little while ago and forgot I hadn't blogged any cards with them. These two were very quick makes. I had the backgrounds ready smooshed with Distress oxides, so all that was needed was stamping with Versafine Clair and a few spots of liquid pearls and glaze. The stencil on the second is from Woodware too.
I am so enjoying myself at my craft table. I will share some more with you very soon. Thanks for looking!

Stag Sunset

Here is a lollystick plaque made using the larger lolly sticks, stuck together with hot glue. I then painted it with Acrylic paints (nothing fancy, just some from Wilkos) and stamped with inkylicious stamps and versafine ink. I am going to try another like this with versafine clair to see if I get a crisper outline. I have a couple of projects on the go at the moment which I will share with you soon. The craft fest is in full swing, lol 😁
