Wonderful!

Yesterday Lynne, Megan and I went to Harrogate to the Great Northern papercrafts extravaganza. We had a wonderful day. The weather was glorious, the shopping was fab, we met up with a couple of blogging friends and we had a lovely picnic in the sunshine! It was lovely to meet Debbie and Lisa for the first time. I hope they are both getting some 'playtime' with new goodies today. I have spent a bit of time playing with my new stuff and have come up with two cards. The first features 'Funky Flowers' stamps I bought from the Stampman. I stamped onto the base card with versamark and brushed over with pearl pigments from Blonde Moments. I coloured the main image with my promarkers and added some diamond stickles
I'm not sure about this second card, but I am so in love with my Martha Stewart Doily lace border punch I wanted to try it out straight away! I did a happy dance when I found it! The 'Graceful Grasses' stamps are by craftwork cards. They are stamped onto paper that I coloured with adirondak colour washes.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what people make with their lovely goodies. Does anyone fancy an ATC or tag swap made with their latest goodies? Leave me a comment if you do.

Hi Sally. It was wonderful to have the chance to say Hello in person to you, Megan and Lynne yesterday and I'm so glad you enjoyed your day. The weather was so glorious wasn't it. We sat outside with a cuppa too. So much for only staying a couple of hours, it was nearly 3pm by the time we got home laden down with such lovely things although I have to wait for Xmas for some of them!
I love your grasses card with your new punch, definitely a good buy. No wonder you were so excited it's gorgeous. I see you found the stampman too. We ended up having two visits after discussing Starburst stains over coffee!! and then just as we were leaving saw those fab frames made with Nestabilities on the Once Upon A Stamp stall, such lovely inspiration.
Well I'm off to try and make something to blog so I'll say cheerio, sorry I've gone on a bit!!! Here's to meeting up at the next show!!

Lovely cards, especially the first. Hmm. Might just have to get the funky flowers as soon as I'm solvent again. Got my eye on the similar set with the butterflies as well.

Great idea about the tag/ATC swap. I fancy tags for a change, but don't mind either way, so count me in!

Hi Sally

Sounds like we both indulged at the weekend although I did not get to Harrogate. I did meet up with Jules though which was wondeful. It is nice to put faces to names isn't it.

Hi Sally

So pleased you enjoyed your craft buying outing and that you got to meet some of your crafting buddies.

Sounds like we both had fun at the weekend.

Your cards are lovely. I love both but the first is my favourite.

Love Jules xx

I was going to say I'm sorry I missed you at Harrogate as I had a lovely afternoon there on Saturday, but with how poorly I've felt since, it's probably a good job I didn't bump into you or you might have the lurgy by now.

I was very naughty and spent far more than I should, but then, I nearly always do.

I too love both these cards. I think the first one just edges into the lead for me but I can see why you were thrilled to find your punch.
