A very quick thank you

I was asked for a few thank you cards a few days ago and hadn't got round to blogging them. I saw the theme on Keep it Simple this morning and realised they would be perfect!
As you can see, simple is an understatement, and although I like the design I felt very strange leaving it so stark! The leaf stems were from the Hero Arts Clear design scattered leaves set. Stamped in black versafine and the sentiment was from a personal impressions set. I thought the design would suit a sympathy card too. Keep it Simple are being sponsored this week by Whimsy Stamps
We have had a bit of a family get together today and I've just driven my Dad and my brother home. It is the tenth anniversary of my Mum dying, so we thought it would be a good idea to get my Dad out of the house and with company. He thoroughly enjoyed his roast beef dinner and apple crumble.  Over the next week I might be around blog land a bit less than normal as I have parents evenings on two nights and a governors meeting on another. I'm guessing we will be eating a few takeaways! I have made a few cards recently though, for family birthdays, so I'll blog those when I get the chance.
Thanks for looking and I hope you have had a wonderful weekend!

This just popped up on my reader and it looked so great, I had to pop over and say so. Simple really is best sometimes.
Glad you had a good day even if for a slightly sad occasion but lovely to remember your Mum surrounded by family.
Hope your week ahead isn't too stressful.

I know just what you mean about feeling strange! But this is great! I do like simple, graphic designs as a change from our usual stuff.

Glad you had a good day. xx

Hi Sally - I really like this a lot - cards don't always require lots of embellishments to give them impact - the beauty of this card is it's clean simplicity. Love it!

It's perfect Sally. It looks like one of those very expensive cards you get from Mr Spencers!!!
Hope Parents Evening goes well. Ours is next week. Ahh the joys, although it must be worse for you teachers having to do 30 odd of them!!
Have a good week.
Hugs Lisax

This is fab Sally! I can imagine how you feel about leaving it as is but it is perfect.

Sorry I've not been around recently. I seem to be having trouble keeping up at the moment as family has needed a bit more attention than normal. I was shocked to see how many posts and gorgeous creations I've missed. You've made some beautiful things.

I'll try to keep up a bit better in future but I know it's no use making promises, Lol!

I do hope we can get together again in the not too distant future

Hugs

The saying 'less is more' is usually true and your card is stunning in it's simplicity hun... sometimes I am guilty of using just about everything in my stash on one thing... think I may have to adopt that saying myself...lol
Glad you had a nice time with your Dad he will have loved having his family around him and it will have made a sad day much easier to bear.
((((hugs))))

Perfect little "thank you" cards .. .. very tempting to fill any white space with "something" .. .. but this lovely creation proves it isn't necessary.

You must be relieved that Parents Nights are over? I know as I parent I used to be!!

Love Jules xx
