Spring Dreamy

I had a request for another card like one I did for this month's Stampalot Challenge, but in the Spring Distress ink colours.
I stamped and clear embossed the 'Dreamy' flower, then dusted the background with Peacock feathers, dusted Lavender and squeezed Lemonade distress inks. I then stamped over the top with the Hero arts Friends definition in Dusted Lavender. The base card was stamped randomly with Dreamy (Penny Black) in the same inks. The central panel was mounted on silver Mirri card and placed over the matching ribbon. When I use this technique I ink up the main image first with versamark and then with distress ink before stamping, to make sure the embossing powder stays put.
I think I like this colour combo the best, although the summer colours come a close second. Perhaps I should keep using the summer colours to prompt an improvement in the weather! We have had some heavy downpours and there is a puddle outside work like a ford, but nothing like they have had a little further north, or in the south west. There have been moments when I have given up trying to teach over the noise of the rain drumming on our flat roof and told the children to watch the hail, rain, lightening etc through the window! We have had an impromptu lesson on what lightening and thunder are, so it hasn't been all bad! Thank you to all the lovely people who keep visiting despite my sporadic visits, and thanks too for your kind words.
Thanks for looking!

Ohhh it's lovely, Sally. I had to go and have another peek at the Summer DI one and I think I'm with you on liking the Spring one the best, although it's very close. I really LOVE the Spring colours, that's the problems.
It's been another shocking week of weather hasn't it. Thankfully we have dry feet here although the Great Yorkshire Show has been cancelled today at Harrogate and the poor people of Hebden Bridge are really suffering. It must be horrendous.
Stay Dry.

Knowing how contrary the weather is being, maybe using winter colours would encourage the sun to come out a bit more!
Great card - the background is absolutely gorgeous.

Very dreamy, and gorgeous! I absolutely love those colours.

We've got a severe weather warning out for heavy rain yet again today, but at the moment it's sunny! Don't think it's going to last though. x

I feel so sorry for the children - how many more wet playtimes until we break up!

This is gorgeous Sally aand I love that beautiful image 'Dreamy' is a very apt name for it. I too love this set of inks. The colours are lush.

You're not the only one who is making sporadic visits at the moment and boy does it make me feel guilty, especially when I see what fabulous creations I've missed like this one.
