The next card is for Steve's Dad. At 92 he is a little less active than my dad, but still manages a weekly shopping trip to town and loves to go and sit on a park bench in the local nature reserve/park. There were thousands of dandelions there a few weeks ago, and he too loves watching the wildlife. The stamps are mostly inkylicious, with a few Hobby Art and a Lavinia park bench.
Then I decided to have another play with the Whispering Winds stamp. It is so simple, but so versatile!
First I made a sunrise with Impress and Adirondack inks. I dotted a gold gel pen on the seed heads too. Next I used the off-cut to make a CAS card inspired by the paper packaging that comes with the stamp - some of Deby's own art work. I used a touch of gold embossing powder on the seed heads this time.
I also made a CAS card using the Poppy Lea stamp.
Finally I have a card to show you that a friend of mine made. She used to make lots of cards until she was very ill in 2008, and her eyesight, hearing, speech and dexterity were affected. Having never used an ink duster before this is what she produced after a little lesson from me!
I am very proud of my student!!! I am hoping she will be encouraged to dust off her stamps and start making cards once more.
Tomorrow sees the wonderful Stamp Magic show at the Doncaster Dome. I will be there and will probably visit the Inkylicious stand for a little while, so if you see me come and say hello! I will be there with Lynne from Creative Lynks who has come down to visit for the weekend. She is my partner in crime when it comes to crafty spending, lol!

Beautiful cards again Sally, love them all.xxx
loving all your beautiful cards - pleased to hear your Dad is doing well after his hip op.
What a lovely name for the stamp Sal, Whispering Wind has a really ethereal sound to it and in my fantasy mind there are fairies and butterflies waiting to float out of the grasses.
Sure both Dad's will love their cards and you Dad will be reminded of the walks he so loves and by the sound of things will soon be doing again.
Was lovely to speak this morning, have a lovely day tomorrow - my suggestion fell on deaf ears and muttering of two acres needing attention. I tried.

Beautiful cards sally i am sure ur father and father in law will love them - your friends card is wonderful - i bet she will be wanting a set of dusters x enjoy ur weekend x
These are so beautiful, Sally! I especially like the "grass" stamp (is it even grass?). Gorgeous scenes, not only for dads.
All were beautiful. Loving that grassy stamp. Your student learned well from you, and you can BOTH be very proud of her card. So stunning for all of them. TFS & thanks for encouraging your friend. Bet she gets back to the hobby real soon. It's nice to have a good friend! HUGS
Beautiful cards, and well done to your friend, it must be great for her to get back into card making after such a traumatic time.
Loved your samples for the last Inkylicious prog on C&C.
Glad your Dad is progressing - my patient (after just over 3 weeks since the knee surgery) tried to walk down a hill yesterday & so our walk didn't get very far. I think walking on the flat to begin with is a much better idea......
You're rightly proud of your student & I love the work you've done with the Whispering Winds - especially that first one. It's the way you've got the tops of the grasses to glow with orange & the haziness across the sun with that one single beautiful swallow.

Beautiful works of art xxxx
What beautiful cards for your Dads Sally. I'm glad yours is recovering so well. I think it's incredible what they can do these days. To be so fit and active so soon after a big op like that is brilliant.
Your friend has done a gorgeous job with her card too, I hope she does dust off those stamps now!
I also hope you and Lynne had a great crafty weekend, I bet you did.
Hugs Lisax
