Happy Summer Solstice, just!

Hope you managed to get a glimpse of the sun today. It certainly didn't feel like the longest day! When I sat with my coffee at breakfast there was a news bulletin from Stonehenge, and I was reminded of this card I made about a fortnight ago for a work-mate's birthday. The stone circle is a stamp from Non-Sequitur, and the rest are from Inkylicious. I created the background with masks, adirondack inks and ink dusters. I didn't base it on a real place, but the stone circle does remind me of a couple in Derbyshire. (This one particularly)
Thanks for looking!

Can you believe we are mid summer already, Sally, how did that happen. This year is just flying. Love your stone circle, really imaginative.
Hope you have a good weekend.

Those stones are particularly impressive - I'm on slug patrol here so it definitely doesn't feel like Midsummer!

What a great card - i love the stones stamp. Can i ask how u go about using the inks - is it a gloss card your using and are u still using the blending fluid ???? So many questions - sorry! . Have a great weekend x

This is just smooth matte(normal)card, Tracy. I used the ink dusters by dabbing them on the ink pad, dabbing them on some scrap paper then dusting onto the card. No blending solution necessary. I promise I will make a start on the videos as soon as I can. Work does interfere with my craft time, lol!

Of course there has to be a stone circle for the summer solstice!
It was a fairly hot and sunny day over here, so we don't have any reason to complain. It is supposed to rain tomorrow and perhaps on Monday, and I hope this is not an empty promise. We need the rain!
