Summer Blooms at Stamping Sensations

Good Morning, and lets hope June brings some lovely weather! We certainly need it to help the garden catch up! Our theme at Stamping Sensations is Summer Blooms, and when Brenda chose it I am sure she wasn't thinking about Daffodils and Magnolia in May! The first blooms that I thought of were Sweet Peas, a particular favourite of mine, but only scented ones! I won't bore you with a rant about silly people breeding the scent out of Lavender and Sweet Peas (what is the point!?) but I will share a picture of my card for this month.
I fell in love with this stamp from Inkylicious as soon as I saw it, and here I have coloured it with Distress Markers and Tombow pens. I used Delicate Vine and Tiny script (both from Inkylicious) around the image and then used the vine again on the base card, cut with a grand Nestie. I dusted both with tumbled glass and shaded lilac distress inks. The ribbon was a part of my secret Santa gift from work (they know me well!!!)
So, onto the prize. Feast your eyes on this lovely lot from Heartfelt Creations

Aren't they wonderful? Shame I can't enter too!
My lovely teamies have created some amazing floral delights over on the Challenge blog, so I hope you will pop over there for some inspiration before you rush off to make your entry. I will look forward to visiting you to see your entries.
Thanks for looking!

That's one of my hobbyhorses is well Sally, just yesterday I were discussing it with the guy our garden centre.

As you know sweet peas have a special meaning to me and I really love your card and the vibrancy of colours of the blooms.

Hope you have a good Sunday, the sun shining here today after a bitterly cold one yesterday.

No point at all breeding the scent out... so lovely to get a whiff of sweet peas or lavender up your nose!!
Love these blooms and really like the vine stamping around the edges too.

Absolutely LOVE, this Sally! The blues are just heavenly. (My favourite colours!) What a ridiculous notion, breeding out the scent of sweet peas! They wouldn't be sweet then, would they?! That stamp is on my list for Doncaster, of course! x

Your lacey trim with the delicacy of the leafy background stamping is a wonderful combination & I particularly like the way you have used the foliage for the corners & script for the central part of the background in your focal image panel.

I agree about the breeding the scent out of the most beautifully scented flower, we always have some in the garden.

Your card is really beautiful and does justice to this lovely flower.

Oh Sally, this is just lovely! I too hold sweet peas very dear as my late MIL used to grow them every year and each week when they were in bloom would send Jenna and Jamie back with a little bunch for me. They will always be her flower in my head and Jenna's too.

You rant away my friend and I'll second you. Sweet peas without their gorgeous perfume would be so sad.

Hugs
