Passion for Promarkers challenge 7 - Cornflower and Cocoa

Look on my sidebar to see what Caryn has awarded me for my messy Rabbit last week! It has cheered me up no end! I was expecting this week's colour combination to be quite easy, and I could have used it on several images, but my problem was the sketch. The layout looked so beautiful, and the DT cards are gorgeous, so why does mine look a bit naff?
Ah well, it will have to do, but if anyone can offer me any tips on sketches, please do! The image is the lovely Willow from Whiff of Joy. I used promarkers in Cornflower, Cocoa, Sandstone, Blue Pearl, Ivory, Blush, Saffron and Apple. The sentiment is from craftwork cards. Thanks for looking xxx

Hi Sally, it doesn't look naff at all sweetheart. Love your colouring.
thanks for joining us on pFp this week and good luck.

I sometimes find when there are a few layers on sketches it often looks nice if you mat the layers - like Gina, Ida, Maria, Michele, Sarah and Caryn have from the DT, or even distressing or inking the edges of the layers. Also either stitching or faux-stitching adds a bit of interest too.
But personally I think you've done a great job with the sketch

Hi Sally, don't these two colours go together well, I had reservations but liked them when I got into it and this one of yours is great.

You are so hard on yourself Sally, it's not knaff at all, it's beautiful and I love that colour combination. Your cuttlebugged background is gorgeous and I love that image. It is still on my wish list!!!!!

hi sally your card is lovely honey, i think the thing to remember is to use the sketch as a guide and do your interpretation of it, its even ok to rotate and flip it to suit the image you want to use, but i think yours is lovely not naff at all

Not naff at all. It's lovely! Just bought a few more Promarkers! I'll be glad if I can produce something half as good as this.
