A very quick anniversary card

Just remembered an anniversary that I had forgotten, so I used a freebie stamp from the front of a magazine, coloured it with promarkers, added a few blobs of gold tulip paint and mounted on a scrap of paper from my stash. The sentiment is from Waltzing Mouse. Little random blobs of tulip paint are great for covering up little mistakes or marks on the card. Note to self - check your fingers for ink before pressing the card into place!
Thanks for looking!

This is really pretty - gorgeous fresh colours and, of course, I love gingham. Thanks for your lovely message, Ruth x

This is such a pretty card Sally and brings to mind the kind of summer weather we should be having. Mind you today has been just about perfect for me personally as it was dry but not too hot. That freebie stamp is lovely and you shouldn't mention your smudges. I've spent ages trying to see where it is and you must have hidden it perfectly 'cos I can't find it, lol!

Are you ready for the end of term yeet ;D?

Hugs

Gorgeous card Sally, love that stamp! Funny how we all own up to our mistakes when they can't be seen!

I first thought it's embroidered until I looked closer. The remembered forgotten anniversary...

Oh THAT technique of inky fingers!! Love the colours & your gingham. Very effective with the white panel as a background for the image & the gingham as the base layer.

Now you say 'note to self' but you know you'll forget by the next time you make a card!!
I love these peaceful blues and yellows. Enjoy your last few days! EEK! Just think of all that R&R time!

What a pretty card, Sally. I love the gingham. I know what you mean about inky fingers although it tends to be the back of the card that suffers with me. I always end up putting it down on the inky mat!!! I will never learn.
Love your dragonfly cake too, it looks yummy. Hope you enjoyed all your parties.
