You can see the shine of the paint but also the ink dusting and stamping that I added in the white spaces. Here is a close up of the butterfly.
I first inked it with shaded lilac DI and then used Versamark and kaleidoscope EP to get the shimmer. Finally here is a close up of the main image.
I coloured the stamp with a mixture of distress markers, huffed on the stamp and stamped on to watercolour paper. I then used a water brush to drag the colour onto the image. I finished it off with some ink dusting and the script stamp in tumbled glass DI, and a spray of glimmer mist in iridescent gold.
As well as Brenda's follower celebration, I am also entering this into Heck of a challenge, where the theme is butterflies and pearls, Visible Image Challenge where the theme is Spring and By the Cute and Girly (Favourite things: mine are inkylicious stamps, distress inks and my gelli plate!)

If anyone could totally analyse my craft mind Sal, it had to be you and you've got most on it on your card except perhaps a tree !
Those backing papers look lovely and the sheen one them shows up nicely on your photos, it's only a matter of time before I have to have one of those Gelli plates because I am loving what you are creating with yours.
Thanks so much for joining in my blog celebration and for cleverly combining so many of my addictions.
And it's still snowing on an off here.

Such a beautiful card, Sally, and so beautifully photographed too. you have managed to actually show the shine and glimmer. I also love your tag in your previous post, give us some hope that we might get some summer. Hope your family are doing better now and the pressure is off you a little. Take care of yourself. xx Maggie

Thanks for all the close ups, Sally. Those gelli prints are so beautiful and I like the way you've overstamped them too. It's such a serene card, really lovely.

Beautiful card, love the design and fab image.xxx
love my Gelli pad as well, think its the messy factor! Have you tried using it with Dry based inks such as Distress ink pads? Works a treat, just thought think I'll try distress stains next.
anyway after a long dry spell I'm coming back out of my funk and crafting for fun again. Which means I'm going round catching up with everyone. just had a scroll down your blog as ever it is jam packed with fabulous creations and some very interesting pictures of the garden! XOXO Zoe

I’m just working on Brenda’s challenge too – but the inky backgrounds is not my forte!! I’m covered in ink!!! Love the way you’ve taken elements from Brenda’s style but kept your own uniqueness in the process. The colours are lovely, especially with those blues & I can see you are having enormous fun with the gelli plate.

This is such a beautiful card, especially the butterfly. When you make your own papers with the gelli plate, what kind of papers do you use? Just regular copy paper?
Totally gorgeous card Sally, such delicate and pretty colours, and the gelli background is wonderful xx
