We then carried on up the bank
and crossed a few fields where there were thousands of ox eye daisies in flower.
We passed a field where there were several young foals...
and then saw a beautiful Lodge - gate house to the Welbeck estate.(I'd love to live there!)
The view from the Lodge is a timeless British landscape...
and the drive to the lodge is a Lime tree avenue - a continuation of the one in Clumber Park, for those of you who know it.The lime trees were in flower and smelled wonderful!
We finally made our way back through the village of Norton, and back to Cuckney Church.
I do miss living in the countryside, even if I did get quite a lot of nettle rash!
Hope you enjoyed the walk
Thanks for looking!

Thank you for sharing these lovely photos, I love the field full of daisies. Nothing can be quite as beautiful as the English county side on sunny day.

How kind of you Sally to share your lovely countryside walk with us. I'd like to live there too! There's nothing better than spending quality time with a loved one and you've definitely done that. I'm sure that your Dad will have enjoyed every minute x
Great photos, Sally. Looks like you had a lovely day, glad you and your dad enjoyed it. x
Wonderful photos of your special time with your Dad. I love the foals and the daisy field. I don't think I've ever seen quite so many!

Beautiful photographs, it's a long time since I visited that area so it's lovely memories for me as I can't walk very well nowadays. Thank you for sharing :o)

I've loved going on your walk with you Sally, and I didn't have to put any effort into it either. The photos are great and can see why you miss living in the country. I'm lucky although we live on an housing estate, 100 yards, at the end of our road are open feilds and countryside. But it's funny I don't feel that I live in the country. Maybe I need to get out more!!

Hi Sally
Many thanks for your lovely comments on my blog .. .. I am finally catching up with blogland a little after a manic first half of the year on the wedding front. It seems to be taking FOR EVER though LOL!!
Loving the pictures from your walk with you Dad. Just look at that gorgeous blue sky! Nothing like what we have here now .. .. we have a grey and wet day today.
Love the ox eye daisy picture very much!!
Hope all is good at your end. Have you broke up from school yet?
Love Jules xx
