Something Masculine for Penny Black and More

Here is a card I made using Hobby Art Scene-it stamps inspired by our recent holiday in North Yorkshire. I might add a pair of walking boots in the left corner later, if I can find the stamp! I thought it would fit the current Masculine' theme at Penny Black and More. I watercoloured it with zig clean colour markers and added a few spots of gel pen on the grass and wildflowers. The base card was stamped with Hobby Art leaves in memento desert Sand and gently sponged with distress oxides.
Here are a few photos from our holiday...

 Whitby,
 Mount Grace Priory
 Nunnington Hall,
Steve found his long lost brother in the gardens 😂
 Helmsley Walled Garden
 Byland Abbey
 and Sutton Bank.
Hope you enjoyed a little bit of North Yorkshire! We stayed in a little cottage with no internet and no signal, but there were otters in the river that ran through the garden and we saw 2 or 3 kingfishers and a hedgehog every day! The otters and the kingfishers evaded my camera, but Mr Tiggywinkle was very obliging!

Thanks for looking!

I love this scene you have created with the Hobby Art stamps Sally and the yellow and brown over the leaf stamps makes the perfect frame. I'm glad you had a good holiday in North Yorks and the cottage with the wild life right on the doorstep sounds idyllic, and what wonderful photos of it all. TFS. x

It's such a homely looking scene Sally and you want to go tap on the door to say hello. Lovely to see you at Penny Black and More, you card is perfect for our theme, thank you.

Lovely photos, for whatever reason I thought you were in Wales. Not been to that part of Yorkshire for ages but my lasting memory of Whitby will always be awesome fish and chips. And I'm not saying a thing about Steve and his 'brother'!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Such a beautiful card Sally. You really rock Hobby Art Stamps and this card is no exception. Great stamping and colouring. Lovely photos too. Whitby is our go to seaside day out, although I can't do the steps any longer with my osteoarthritis. In fact, that's where I first discovered I had it! The photo of Steve and his long lost brother cracked me up, it's a great photo and I bet you both smile every time you look at it. It's great to see you blogging more now that you have the time. Hope you enjoy the rest of this lovely, sunny weekend xx

Gosh this scene is so beautifully coloured it could be one of your gorgeous photos. I was quite proud of myself recognising Whitby, seeing as I have never been there, just from photos by my brother. Looks like you had a wonderful holiday and the scarecrow is hilarious with your hubby.

A really lovely card Sally, great scene and colouring, like the way you have used a circle to show off the image. Some really lovely photo's, only been to Whitby once (for a day) was a nightmare to park. Youngest Grandson goes there for 4 days with school next term.
Thank you for joining our 'Boys and Men' challenge at Penny Black and More.

You are the queen of scenes, Sally - your scenic work is always beautiful, looking like a good watercolour painting. I love Yorkshire, too. My brother lived there for years, around York, and took me all over when I visited him. Sadly, he now lives in Shrewsbury, which is nice in its own way, but just not as vast or as striking. Or maybe it's just that I can no longer do the long walks, lol. Brilliant photos and lovely art.
