Tuesday taggers - Teddies

Here's my entry for this week's Tuesday Taggers, where the theme is Teddies, sponsored by the Craft Barn. I had no teddy stamps at all...funny, cos I used to have some... Oh yes, they were all in Megan's craft drawer! The stamp is by Rubber Stampede and is called best friend bears! I coloured it with promarkers and used distress ink round the edges. The papers are all small scraps of leftovers from other projects. I finished it off with a scrap of sari ribbon.
As a child I had mostly home made bears as my Nana used to make them for me. They got better the more she made. By the time I was 15 she was an expert and they did look like they were 'shop' ones! The ones I cuddled as a youngster were...how can I put it...unique? a bit lopsided? Definitely not as pretty as these two.  Thanks for looking!

  3. Hi Sally

What a lovely card and a lovely story about your homemade bears.

I would rather have the lopsided bear made with love than a perfect bear from the toy store.

Anyway, back to your lovely creation. Those bears are gorgeous and I particularly like the ribbon!

Hope you are having a good weekend.

    Love Jules xx

  4. Cute bears, great card & lovely story. My first bear, given to me when I was born & which I still have, is now very lopsided. Can't remember what he used to be called, but now he's very definitely Fred! If I manage to get a bear card made before Tuesday, I'll post his photo with it. x

  6. Gorgeous card Sally and loe the two little bears. That bow is fabulous!

I had one really well loved Teddy which eventually fell to pieces after I got married but he had one arm that wore out several times as I always had him on the same side of me in bed and used to lie on his left arm, poor thing so he was definitely lop sided.
