Not sure...

I love this dahlia stamp from Crafty individuals (one of the crafty elements range), and a few weeks ago stamped two onto semi-shiny card with stazon. They had been just sitting there on my table, and I wasn't sure what to do with them. Last night I spent a few minutes colouring them with distress inks. I decided to mount one onto a card covered with CI paper , stamping a few leaves from another Crafty Elements plate to put behind. I'm not sure the ribbon works, or the green of the leaves. Now I am really not sure what to do with the other one!

I think all the elements are fine, Sal, but (using photographic composition principles) try placing the flower off centre (on a "third") rather than in the middle, and the ribbons vertically and horizontally instead of diagonally. Compositionally, I think that might work better. It is a lovely stamp, though, and I like the colours you've used. xx

I love the colours and the stamped image too.

With the next Dahlia, as you have coloured it perfectly and it looks so real, I would put it on a plain background with the leaves, to show if off, then mount it on patterned paper

Not that I am an expert, but I am a flower lover, and in nature the individual flowers are accentuated by their plain foliage, even in the masses of colour around them, so that they 'shine' in their own right.

Well I like it as it is Sally. The leaves you've made really highlight it. Maybe try stamping three and put them down the middle of a DL card after matting and layering each. Just an idea.
