April Showers

Did you have a real downpour yesterday? We did in the evening, and this little girl (Mo Manning) would've definitely had enough water to float her boat!
I coloured her with promarkers and used papers from Funky Fairies (no longer available). I also used an EK success half flower punch, a Woodware tiny flower punch and two border punches by EK success and Martha Stewart. The sentiment is an Elusive Images stamp.

Yesterday we had a lovely trip out to Jacksdale Garden centre to take Steve's parents out for lunch. It was sunny and hot, but the fresh air and sunshine lifted all our spirits. The Garden centre and the tea room were very wheelchair friendly and the plants and gifts were all beautiful. Steve's Mum requested a return visit very soon! It was only once we returned home that it started to cloud over.
Anyway, I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Allsorts - April Showers
CES - Spring colours
I ♥ promarkers - Anything goes
Sentimental Sundays - Get Punchy
I did make a card for last week's Allsorts, but with the builders coming to sort out the floor it got packed away and I didn't find it again until it was too late! Here it is anyway.
I've had this Sugar Nellie stamp for quite a while but not used it much. I got some new watercolour paper so decided to have a go colouring with distress inks, and I have to say I'm pleased with the results. The papers are from Pink Petticoat. Thanks for looking. I intend to do a little more crafting over the rest of the holiday!!!

Two pretty little cards Sally, love both those images. Glad you had a nice day with the inlaws. The weather here was not nice at all, dull, damp and chilly and the tv is terrible!

Hi Sally. I hope the sun was back out for you again today. It's been cloudless here. Just fantastic again. We had a tiny shower yesterday morning and then it was hot and sunny all day and around 9pm we had a gentle shower. The garden is crying out for proper rain it's sooooo dry!! I'm not though, I love this sunshine.
Both your cards are gorgeous. I love the little girl in her bright wellies and your distress ink colouring is beautiful on the second one. I love colouring this way, it's still my favourite, although the promarkers are catching up slowly.
Happy Easter.
Hugs Lisax

These are both such cheery cards Sally and I love the colouring on both of them. Colouring with Distress Inks is my favourite way I have to admit. I'd love to know what paper you used. I clicked for the close up and it looks like a very smooth watercolour paper and I've been searching for some for a while now.

Glad you had such a lovely family outing yesterday. I was making bunting from chintzy wallpaper outside so I could peg it on the whirlygig to dry and had to rush to collect it all in before the thunderstorm. It would have been a lovely soggy mess if I hadn't been quick enough, lol!

Hi Sally. What lovely spring looking cards. You were lucky to have the rain - we didn't have any here and already the garden could really do with it!! xx

Hi Sally, such a lovely pair, so very gorgeous.
we had a down pour Saturday afternoon we were in Lincoln, never seen anything like it, floods everywhere, we got home which is 35 miles away and we had not had a drop.

Two beautiful cards Sally - love the cheerful colours and the tiny flowers on the second one. Sorry to hear you had heavy rain over the weekend - I live quite near to Lisa so our weather was just like hers! So pleased the rain didn't spoil the lovely day out with your family. Hugs, Sylvia xx

Hi Sal

No .. .. we missed the showers here altogether!!

Must admit the garden could have done with an "all over" drink!!

Loving your cards. I too have a collection of Funky Fairies papers .. .. I was quite sad to see them disappear.

I hope you have had a good Easter break.

Love Jules xx
