Guzziesue came to play...

This was the craft table an hour ago as Guzziesue had come round to chat, drink tea, eat some yummy ginger cake and flapjack made by Meg, and stamp some fabric. We have been going to get together for some time, but other commitments got in the way. Anyway we finally managed it and I am sure we will see some stitched seedheads on fabric before long on Travel, fibre and thread. Whilst Sue was playing with blues I had the distress inks out - Mustard seed, Spiced marmalade, fired brick, antique linen, shabby shutters and peeled paint. As usual, I couldn't resist a quick spray of Creative Colour sprays (Crafty Notions) in gold and rain beetle before I put it all together.
The Stamps are Ruby Tuesday from Graphicus, and I took two photos, one catching the light and one not, so you could see the effect of the sprays. I stamped with versafine inks, as these are waterproof and don't run when sprayed. It was a very enjoyable evening!

Gorgeous. Just bought some 8" x 8" blank cards from Craftwork Cards. They're huge! Those Ruby Tuesday flowers would be perfect for them.

Your evening sounds great, Sally and I'm glad someone else has a working area as full of stuff as mine. The mug of tea/coffee being in the middle of it all and of course gone cold because you get so distractd by what your doing!!!!
I love your card, the sprayed background is just lovely and those stamps!!!! Beautiful.

The colouring is perfect again. I didn't do 'cute' but as they seem to be all the 'rage' at the moment I treated myself to some stamps.

Today I used water colour paint, and some distress inks from pads, but I still can't 'get the look' - and I did use a watercolour brush - the ones TH uses. So no excuse - its just lack of technique and or experience. I am just starting out, so have to be patient
